Summary...

-They asked Moon how much money he made with the Globetrotters, he said $60,000
- one guy doing the interviewing shared a story about how his friend started work at the ACC, was walking though the hallways when Jamario walked up to him and introduced himself, says Moon is a really nice guy, Jamario says he tries to make as much friends as possible
-Moon feels we can beat Boston in the playoffs if we play 'our game', we beat them on their home court........
- asked him why he didn't rock the afro anymore like he did in the D-League, Jamario said he felt maybe his image was holding him back from a shot in the NBA, wanted to get a cleaner look...
- said once he saw Gerald Wallace had made it to the NBA, he felt he could make it too, since they both come from the same 'neck of the woods' lol.. said it wasn't hate but he thought he was just as good...
-they asked him if he would rock a Globetrotters jersey to the dunk contest as a prop, Moon said if he asked them they would send him a jersey ASAP, they would love the exposure...

- There was also one awkward moment where it sounded like Jamario got pissed off for a second... After he answered he made $60,000 with the globetrotters, I guess he was kind of annoyed at the question... then one guy said "that's Disney money", and Moon was like 'huh?' You could tell he was about to snap since it sounded like the guy was making fun of him... the guy either misworded that, or he was feeling bold.... anyway he played it off nicely, saying he meant the Globetrotters were owned by Walt Disney corporation or something like that... Moon responded they were actually owned by _____ _____, and they changed the subject quickly.....

I can see the threads now.

"Moon disrespects Raptors Jersey and fans by sporting jersey of his former team"

"Moon ashamed to be a Raptor?"

"Moon wants a trade out of Toronto?"

I am actually appreciative of the fact that there is more basketball out there, to listen to and to watch or whatever. But I'm sorry, this show is terrible. I've tried listening to it a couple of times this year, and I think it's horrible. The hosts are bad and it sounds very amateur.

+1... The guys don't even have radio voices, aside from Cabbie and JYD... There's that one guy who exaggerates every syllable he says, with that weird accent, making all Canadians look bad... then there's that middle eastern/east indian guy who is not pleasant to listen to either...

They regularly interrupt their guests with random comments, plus you can hear whispering in the backround...one time i even heard somebody coming inside and closing a door, carrying a plastic bag or something, probably food...

I could easily do better with a couple of my high school buddies...

Even Cabbie, as much as he is a broadcaster, isn't a great interviewer. I like his On the Street stuff, but I don't find him to be as good on the radio. JYD is okay, but it seems like I have heard his same stories over and over since he left town.

I heard the Hoops show on the Fan 590 tonight and they had two of the Suns' assistant coaches on talking about Shaq and I found it way more interesting.

Warya, yeah I agree it's very disrespectful to ask a man about his salary like that.. it must've felt very uncomfortable for Moon too, as he probably felt pressure to say something..

First time i listen to the show...

it sounds so unproffesional...

the indian guy sounds lame

the white guy sounds like a 14 year old teenager who gets hyped about everything

cabbie is not a good radio host

JYD is good...

I mean..the show is absolutely unproffesional...

LOL HE MENTIONED THE SAM PHOTO.

"I think they got a picture of me and sam on the internet, on the sideline, he was down in a squatting position and I am jumping in the air."

Image

If only he wasn't cut off afterward, I bet he saw the sam thread lmao.

Trying to be fair, I listened to the link provided above, and listened to this segment again. But my opinion is still the same. The guest seemed uninformed (who is this Real GM guy?), Cabbie was struggling to pry any info out of him and ask decent questions, but I do give him credit for trying. The one guy's question about the triangle becoming a square was awful, and JYD asking some unknown guy questions about basketball was bizarre because he is the expert! He should be the one being interviewed not vice versa.

I will not waste my time with this show again in the future. I cannot believe this show is on a legitimate radio station or radio channel.

The Moon interview was embarassing to listen to. His answers seemed well thought out and good overall. But the questions were awful, childish, and sounded like a bunch of high schoolers giddy that they were talking to an NBA player.

I'm sorry, but I cannot get over how awful and amateur this show is.

i honestly thought this was some kinda joke...it wasn't a real radio show..

At least if you listen to Bob Mc on Fan 590, it's proffessional..
