And even then, I'd see if DET would want either for Hermann first.

You guys are aware Pietrus is 26, right?

For a swingman whose game is primarily based on his athleticism, that's close to being out of the "he has so much potential" range and nearing the "oh god, it's almost too late" stage.

Excellent point ... guys who are "athletes" have huge years from 22-27 .... very few athletic but poor fundamentals players keep improving as they near 30.

Believe me, Pietrus is almost just as bad as Joey Graham BUT....I think we can use his energy off the bench. The guy may not have the highest Bball IQ, but he sure does bring a lot of energy. That's a constant with him. Just like Dunleavy did, Pietrus needs a change of scenery and I think Toronto would be one team where he would feel comfortable. He is a scrappy player who will battle for you much like fellow France teammate Ronny Turiaf. Now there may be better options on the trade market so you may want to explore those first. Pietrus is really a fun-loving type of guy, and that is one reason why Don Nelson likes him. Even though Nellie doesn't play him, he really likes what he brings to the team in terms team chemistry. I wouldn't be against the idea of bringing him here.

See I knew this was coming before I even clicked on the link to this thread. I honestly wouldn't be disappointed if we didn't make any moves before the all-star break. That way we have more ammunition to make a trade that would actually make a difference in the offseason with our expiring contracts.

Patience is a virtue.
