I really think we should strive to have a PG discussion without a single appearance of the word "hater". There really is nothing worse than, in the absence of someone making a stupid post, other people invoking past stupid posts and then talking about them.
I think our choices are either a S&T with Jose this summer (risky, with TJ's health), or to sign them both with an eye to moving TJ at some point next season if he manages to play some rugged and injury-free ball.
we really should keep forderon, but is it redundant?

If they were both healthy, having two of the top PG's in the entire league, on a team with several other weaknesses, absolutely is redundant. And because of that I'd be pretty close to 100% certain that BC would trade one of them in the next 12-24 months to balance the team better.
But until TJ proves to be 100% healthy, this isn't a brdige that can really be crossed. BC is really in wait and see mode until TJ gets back to where he was.

But with Forderon, the Raptors have 48 mins a game of amazing point guard game. And if either Ford or Calderon is injured, the Raptors still have about 40 mins of much-more-than-solid point guard game (I'm supposing that playing 40 mins a game would take its toll, although right now it doesn't seem to be happening).
Redundancy is good. Redundancy is used for airplanes, space rockets and computers. Redundancy is used for power supply in critical systems all around the world.
Redundancy is good. Long live Forderon!
So should our main objective in the offseason be to trade for Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett to backup Bosh? Because what happens if Bosh gets injured? We're screwed? Only idiots think like this. Based on your reasoning, every team should have a really good backup for the starter and have a 10 man roster of almost equal talent. Phoenix will be better off trading Amare for Paul to backup Nash?
Keeping both PG is redundant. Jose has proved he can easily play 40min a game. Why would anyone want to play an inconsistent PG like TJ for 8 min and pay him $8M/yr, when we could package him in a trade to improve our main weakness - to get our much need swingman.
If TJ is traded, another backup PG will be signed, one better than Darrick and Dixon. Even with those 2 guys getting backup PG min, our record has been as good as it's been with TJ playing, which is even more amazing considering Raps have been through their hardest schedule without TJ. So just imagine what a better backup PG than Murray and a good SF can do to improve Raps.
