OT - Small Den/Sea deal reported by Bucher on ESPN Radio

Post#1 » by Maritimer » Mon Feb 18, 2008 8:45 pm

Not sure if it will actually go down, but Bucher says it's close (for whatever that's worth).

Von Wafer, Diawara, 1st

for

D. West, 2nd

As long as Denver protected that pick, it's a nice move for them. West would be a very nice fit off the bench for them.

Good trade for Denver.

West is underrated, and he didn't seem to be very central in Seattle.

Yea, if true, that's a good deal for both teams. Barring protection on the pick of course.

I like it particularly for Seattle.

Denver wins. West will be a nice addition to their club. I'd expect him to be their Rondo.

West clearly wasn't part of Seattle's future plans any more so this is a good trade for them. They get a first out of it and Denver gets a good defensive point guard to go next to AI and Melo.

LOL

I took it from the Seattle board. I stake nothing on it's accuracy -- it could well be fake, though it was shared by a Denver moderator. The fact that it's Bucher reporting it, though, means that it could likely never come to pass.

Great deal for Denver; that's probably a 12-14 slot drop in the draft if they make the playoffs for a nice combo guard.
