Here's another one that could kill 2 birds with one stone. Sounds like none of you guys like Joey Graham. Judging by the time he gets I would say the org doesn't like him either.

This kind of deal makes a lot of sense. Not that I'd particularly want Davis, but to give us a little more spending room this summer.

The Rockets don't need to give us Wells

They got Snyder expiring and Francis only has 1 more year which would coincide with the rest of our expiring contracts.

If they would give us their pick...I would take Snyder and Francis. How fitting for Francis. Never wanted to play in Canada but end his career there.

Snyder, Brooks, Head also works... there are several scenarios where they can keep Wells and keep their rotation intact

Right. But for instant cap relief, we'd have to take Wells and Snyder. But you're right, if it was Francis (with a buyout) and Snyder that would work too.

I doubt my Suns would want to spend the $ considering we are already over the tax but we do have a big enough TPE to absorb his contract. If BC really wants to move salary he may have to take less than market value. The Suns 1st rounder from the Hawks this year would be too much IMO. I'm sure you guys would want more than the mid 2nd that we are owed from Cleveland.

If it wasn't for the lux tax, I'd probably trade Kapono for the TPE and that 2nd simply for the sheer joy of watching him nail three after three, trailing in transition. That's the one aspect where he has been underutilized here, and that's partially because we don't run the initial break with enough conviction to get him those looks.

We did at the start of the season, and with Ford back, that part of his repertoire may show itself once more.

I don't think erasing Kapono's entire contract in one shot is necessary. If you reduce his salary from 5.3 to 2.4(Francis)...that should be enough flexibility. I might not buyout Francis and force him to opt out. If he doesn't opt out then his contract would be another expiring contract next year which could be useful.

Sooooo what? Everyone dissed your last post, so your response is to make a longer post saying basically the same thing?

Please try to be more bandwidth conscious. The internet doesn't grow on trees, you know.

Thank you.

I had to leave right after i posted my first post so i'm explaining my stance, i can do that right? You let the retired mod status get to your head.

Dissed on RealGM? This coming from a guy with over 20k posts. Sorry i don't live on RealGM like you, i do have a life. You say "dissed" like it REALLY matters what somebody i don't even know thinks about one of my posts. YOU'RE NOBODY. Small jokes from a small man.

yes I also hope BC keeps kapono and deals chuckfino instead.. and the smitch finds away to benefit from the best pure shooter in the game
Jose "Hammy" Calderon - where Gatorade at the half clouding rational judgment happens, and where "hamstring" injuries linger all season long.

If we can manage a first out of him, I would do it along with an expiring...player.

I would deal Kapono for an expiring. He has a very nice shot, but nothing else about his game is NBA level. He is significantly overpaid, and his contract is gonna be a hindrance to us in the future.

I think come playoff time the Raps will use Kapono more. Especially if teams really collapse on CB4 like the nets did last year in the playoffs. Kapono will get his open looks and punish the defense for cheating on Bosh in the post.

I would like Kapono to stay on the team but under the condition that he gets more minutes.

My main problem with him this season has not been how Sam has been using him but more at how he plays when he's out on the court. His bread and butter is taking 3s, yet when he gets the ball most times he passes up on the shot and decides to dribble in, which is not his biggest strength.
