Wow...that is absolutely brutal for Utah. So, they are trading their franchise/all star player and replacing him with Jose and 2 scrubs?
Every other NBA team could put together a better package. If you are thinking Deron, start thinking about E Davis, DeRozen going (for starters) and probably our pick (unprotected).

Also with the TPE, we have too much going out. The players for Deron is a wash. We can't just give Utah the TPE.

Toronto trades:
Jose Calderon
Joey Dorsey

Atlanta trades:
Jamal Crawford.

Atlanta needs a PG, Toronto needs a guy who can create his own shot. Everyone wins.

Think Barbosa fills that bill.

NYKs will not trade for Jose even for Curry little less Curry and Chandler.
They want Curry's expiring for latter in the year ( Melo ) or someone else.
Arenas will be given a chance to see how he plays with Wall plus they would never add McGee to the package.
Not sure if MLSE would ever acceppt Arenas
The trade is basically rape of Washington and NYKs for crap

Tor gets: DeAndre Jordan + DJ augistin
Clips gets: Jose + Diaw
Charlotte gets: Baron D + 1st round pick (Miami)

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=2df74fu

this trade works I guess because LA is under the cap.

Since when does Weems bring any kind of defense to the court anyway?

I don't think BC would ever gamble on getting Oden.
He has value in Portland but if he lasts 25 games it would be a miracle.
Plus Portland would say no!

Here's my trade idea...

Be patient. Wait until the season starts because a lot of the players with positive value now, will have negative value in a few months. With our TPE and expiring contracts we will be in a perfect position to nab these players at a discount... heck teams might even add some sweeteners.

Amare, Lee, Joe Johnson, Boozer, Nash, Parker, Oden, and Bynum could all see their values drop if they aren't successful in the next few months. We just need to be patient.
If you can't beat em... at least grab their gonads

DeRozen plays the same position as Roy
Johnson plays the same position as Aldridge.
I don't see any value (fills needs) for Portland in this deal.

Could/Should BC be exploring a deal involving Baron Davis

Post#114 » by AdamIsSoBaked » Wed Sep 8, 2010 5:45 am

obviously we would be shipping out Jose and possibly a young gun and/or pick, but we get an experienced transition PG to run our up-tempo style offense and get the young gunz goin. If you guys say I can't make Iverson topics that's ok, but Baron Davis is fair game IMO.

If we want to continue on the treadmill then yes... if we want to continue to rebuild and rebuild properly then no.

But look what he did for that Warriors team back in 200_? and that was a young run and gun team similar to our current roster and imo our roster is better so baron wouldn't have to carry so much of the load Bargs could be our primary scorer but Baron would be like what we wanted Hedo to be last year that guy you can go to at the end of the game to make a play

That Warriors team would kick our a$$.

J-Rich
Baron Davis
Stephen Jackson
Al Harrington
Andres Biedrins
Michael Pietrus
Monta Ellis
Matt Barnes

That team was so fun to watch.

J-Rich - Derozan
Baron Davis - Himself
Stephen Jackson - Weems has been working on a 3pt shot to add to his arsenal
Al Harrington - Amir Johnson does all the things Al Harrington should do instead of chucking
Biedrins - Bargnani is better obviously
Pietrus - Kleiza
Ellis - Jack
Barnes - Julian Wright could be a nice finisher and add toughness ala Barnes
