What a futile, pointless measure. There will always be other streaming sites, and these ones will be back up soon enough.

I've seen this coming for a while. If you're interested in article that is a little out of date in some respects but still relevant in others...you might try this:

http://www.thismagazine.ca/issues/2006/05/copyright.php

here's how it starts:

You’re 17. You’re busy with your computer, your pager, your cell phone. Doing what comes naturally. You play games. You share information. You explore, imagine and invent. You use the tools at hand. You cut, you paste, you copy, you surf, you talk, you link, you download, you upload, you remix, you mash-up, you code. It’s your culture. You’re having fun. You’re learning. You’re working. You’re creating your world.

Then your dad, your teacher, your boss arrives and suddenly the script gets flipped. He watches and sputters as he sees you steal, conspire, loot, ruin and attack. Nothing’s changed. You’re still doing what comes naturally, but suddenly the handcuffs are out, the lawyers are at the door, the judge is weighing the evidence. Are you a kid or a criminal? Or a kid and a criminal?

Now inflate this picture by a factor of a million, or a 100 million or more. Because the size of connected culture is staggering. We send 100 billion email messages every day! Ask yourself: What happens to the American economy if copyright is obliterated by cut-and-paste culture? Sounds to me like a good excuse for a Bush-style war. But who, exactly, would be the enemy? Who are the copyright terrorists, who are the pirates? That’s right, the kids.

Really weird that homeland security is involved here but it could be for public show of how serious this matter is or some BS like that considering that selling the internet as a tiered controlled service is being pushed hard by telecom lobyists. Corporate control over the internet will be here in no time. Sad times.

still dont see how this relates to homelands security, shutting down one site does nothing and is only a tiny step in tackling the issue.

Being a fellow American it's fair to say that both political party represent big government. It's just a matter of which corporate interests will be represented. For Republicans it will be the industrial-complex firms that make weapons/technologies that inevitably leads us to police the world. For the Democrats it is a more diverse list, but def includes telecommunications and the healthcare industry.

Voting in America is similar to voting in Egypt. Two parties representing 310,000,000 is a joke. I'm glad that Egyptians are standing up against what really is a puppet dictatorship in Egypt. Here in the U.S. media networks from Fox News to MSNBC are all condoning their effort. Why? Because the US gov't likes the Egyptian government. When people in Iran revolt we applaud them, but disrespect the Egyptians. It's not about democracy... it's just that we like Egyptian leaders and despise the Iranian ones. Hypocritical.

Not weird at all. They've been continually shutting down sites and seizing domains. Sometimes they can only seize the domain though and do not have access to servers. So it is a losing battle for them because its not that hard to just start it up again.

This absolutely sucks though, I only get Sportsnet and TSN. I hate TSN2 and Sportsnet One.

Wow she must've grew up with like 3 brothers and always got her ass kicked to become a fighter.

I googled her. She looks a lot better in your avatar then in the pics. Still attractive. Plus being a fighter makes her even more exotic. Would be weird getting it on w/ her though lol... knowing she can choke you out or god knows what else.

Honestly, most of the time I went to adthe was just to check what games were on sports wise. It was nice as a daily sports schedule.

Ya that is how the women trick us with their makeup. Makeup can make average girls attractive. Without makeup they go back to average

She grew up in a Italian family if that helps

This happened to the tv show streaming site I used to use too. Remember when tv used to be free? So much for watching all the Texas and Ohio state games. If only we had like 8 sports channels so they could show some sports every once in a while.

What alternatives are out there now that CBB is effective March 1? I'm with Teksavvy and they're capped at 25 GB. There's gotta be better ones out there.

I have NBA League Pass anyway, but this is gonna suck for when I want to watch other sports.

I would have been really bummed out about those porn torrent sites closing down too...you know, if I was into that sorta thing.
