Feels like a situation where medical technology used to speed up the healing process of a relatively insignificant injury (ankle sprain) makes you think bad things simply because it's physically visible.

Not a big deal about the amputation. The missing DNA when Raptors were made was filled in with frog DNA. Shortly after their creation it was found that Raptors were able to regrow limbs as tadpoles can. Am I the only one who watched the movie? Everyone needs to calm down.
