And even after HE wants to end it, she doesn't say anything to make it seem as if she agrees. Lots of layers here, none of them good. I don't think exposing people/companies is bad, but let's not pretend this lady's interests are for the greater good of society. Nothing really new about Sterling here (well, maybe the 'I love Black people' bit), but I did learn about how racist thinking has morphed in a time when it is illegal and not socially acceptable here. Listening to that was gross.

BTW, seems like there are a lot of fans of the NBA/NFL/NCAA that have sort of the same views as Sterling albeit maybe not as extreme. Certainly have some sort of prejudice towards blacks in society but love the game black men are dominate in. Weird.

I don't understand how people here are making this out to be the girlfriends wronging. She probably is assaulted with his racism from day to day and is fed up about it, so she wanted to get it on tape. She didn't point a gun at him and tell him what to say, she simply replicated a previous context she may have encountered with him knowing that he is going to say what he has said previously off tape. The way she was talking definitely seems like they have had similar arguments before, maybe even worse, and now she's got it on tape as proof. Police and secret services do this all the time to solve crimes and murders to get a confession.

Irritates me how some of you are making the quick assumption that she's just a gold digger. She may have loved him or still does. So think about how you would feel if your significant other was a racist bigot that subtly despised you, your culture, your people, and color. Not even gonna comment on how misogynistic he comes off as..

She knows shes recording him and is actively bating or provoking him to say stuff. Its taken out of context too. It could even mean ppl are calling him telling him she is taking pictures with other guys ie cheating and he is saying dont promote that u are with other guys

He also says man times he loves black ppl

You can tell he has some racism in him but its not hatefull

You guys know that Sterling was exposed as racist years ago and NBA did nothing about it, right? And the fact that this young, attractive woman is dating an old, disintegrating monkey like Sterling tells me that her intentions aren't necessarily to save the world from his evil.

He should have been punished by the league long ago but wasn't. I'm betting he won't be this time either. Now if I'm the players or Doc Rivers, I intentionally lose to the Warriors so he doesn't make a lot of $$$ and I make it clear I want out. Of course, none of them are about to do that anyhow.

"Mythical higher ground?" They're both trash, and he was famous for being trash when they met. I don't need to be any type of high ground to see that.

Yup. Shoot the messenger is Rule #1 in the playbook.

If a 'white player' had made these comments, the NBA would have suspended him in a heartbeat.

If a 'black player had made disparaging remarks about white people, the NBA would have suspended him immediately.

DiCaprios character liked some of his "mandingos" and many of the black women in the house in Django. He was also pretty much the epitome of racism in the film.

Yeah that's why I said he sounds like an old, confused guy. He sounds like he's sort of a converted racist. So the thoughts are still in his mind, but he's come along a ways. I don't doubt there are a lot of closet racists his age.

He's absolutely right, Centre Court. She entered into a relationship with a man she had to know is a racist **** as he's displayed it many, many times even out in the open for people to see. It is well-documented. Why be with a man like that and why would you not leave the second you realize that kind of behaviour is taking place? She's even half-black and she's willing to put up with his racist crap because he's her sugar daddy. He's a racist ****, but she's a scumbag as well.
