Oh, I get it! He's NUMBER 20!

Masai must have gotten confused.

What do you expect from someone who was hired by Colangelo, endorsed by Colangelo and gives mad props to Colangelo. You think you were getting something unique?

Good rim protector it appears
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

I support this pick. draftin 4 years for the future = masai understands the core of a prime Derozan aint gonna get anything done in the near future anyways. might as well reset and rebuild!

We swung for the fences with the youngest player of the draft. Let's show a little trust in Masai before we all commit ritual suicide.

Again, Giannis was projected to go in the teens. Nobody had Bruno Caboclo on their board.

I wouldn't mind reaching with the #37 pick, or the #59 - but the Raps used their first pick to pick someone no one knew about?

Could have got him at 37.

Regardless of how this guy turns out we just wasted a 1st round pick in a strong draft year.

There are plenty of highlights where he looks good, but we know nothing about the players he's facing. Looks like he has solid wingspan, 3 pt range, shot blocking skills, athletic, runs the floor, defensive presence. He looks a lot more to me like an Ibaka-type-project than a Durant though based on his grainy highlights.

I just don't understand drafting an unproven project on our team when we just made the playoffs, it doesn't make much sense. Especially this early in the draft. Unless you had some insider info that the Spurs/OKC are targeting this guy, you could easily nab him at 37.

Ujiri is a smartass.
Protegating his Basketball without Borders program and going with the bold move. If the guy comes over next year and contributes well, I'm fine with that.

Although I think this pick will eventually bite him in the ass, there were so many ready players to pick, yet he went with the unknown. I'm confused, and worried. All this smokescreen for this guy, better be worth it.

Good news is BC is back. Bad news; we have no idea who this guy is.
