PenguinBoxer wrote:Pathetic.... So we are going to be one of those teams that changes their uniforms every 5 years? That worked out great for the Blue Jays. Only to go back to the orginals that actually look good. The current jerseys are fine, in whatever color they are, simple, modern, classic. You dont see the lakers, chicago, celtics , knicks doing drastics changes.

That's because the original Blue Jay Jerseys are one of the nicest in any sport ever. Perfect design, colour scheme and aesthetic. They got it right the first time and finally realized it, the Raptors never did although the original look cool in retrospect.

Personally I think purple is a horrible colour for any team. We have the worst red & black jerseys in the league and others are some of the best period. Gold & black is also horrible.

Two tone blue, red trim and white would be ideal to my eyes.

Something like this is fairly close, but refined a bit more. And keep the Raptors name too!

I want them to make Purple the primary colour on home jerseys, Silver/Grey to be our road jerseys and then White jerseys to only be worn on Sunday games or something.

Similar to the way the Lakers where there colours. But I like the idea of making Whites the alternate jersey and be different.

It's gonna be black and gold, and red-white uniforms. Font will be different. Logo is going to change as well, that of a ball with a mark of a claw ripping it. At least that's what I heard was being proposed to the higher-ups last week. My source works at the MLSE offices.

The all-red and all-black are good but the red and white home rags have got to go. The Huskies blue nonsense is garbage too. Bring back the retros in purple and white.

Black, gold and purple.

I don't want blue and I don't want to be associated with the Leafs/Blue Jays.

A lot of purple and gold would be very Laker-esque no? I guess depends on how they do it.

Not a fan of introducing black and gold really. Either freshen the red, black and white or go back to purple, grey/black, and white.

I was thinking of Gold and black with a small touch of purple.

Our current jerseys look like high school basketball jerseys.

The Leafs and Blue Jays are both historically successful franchises. They defined this city's "sports colours". I'd like us to either go blue or go back to purple.

Black, gold and purple would look like ass. You'd need to take out the purple, and if you did that, the players would look like walking Drake concert posters.

If they are planning on changing the colour scheme, the current season would've been the time to do it.

Now the red and winning are associated resulting in a lot more emotional attachment.

The city defined by blue could be a bad thing since the Leafs haven't won in almost 50 years and the Jays are going on 20 years since they made the playoffs. Maybe adopting their colours would be a bad thing.

Not all the teams have to have the same colours.

Purple, black/grey, and white since they are historically associated with our team. Keep the red, white, and black since we've had it for a while and freshen it up.

The black and gold, as you said, just wreaks of adopting Drakes colour scheme and screams of a change in scheme uni's in 5 years. The other two schemes could be kept for the long term if done right instead of going with the flavour of the month.

I'll always take the old pinstripe Barneys or even the 2000 purples over anything else, but I am interested to see what they come up with the rebrand. I'm one of the few that loved those old Wizards black/gold combos, I think black/white/gold jerseys would look incredible.

I was after change for a year now but I'm changing my stance to keeping the current colors just updating it a bit. Especially now where the we the north slogan is getting famous they are representing a wider market than Toronto. Canada red and white has to stay.

I've heard the same thing. Black/good, ball with claw. Pretty sure it's done

The thing is all the good schemes are taken so trying to force the issue with black and gold is not something I want to do. I don't want to look like Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Purdue, a college team.

A scheme that allows us to maintain our ties to purple AND red while ALSO giving us a fresh new look is crimson and white, literally mixing purple and red. It's a unique color combo for the NBA and it would look classy as ****.
