He has one of the most severe inferiority complexes I've ever seen

So...explain how you can claim no Canadian roots if your brother is born Canadian, lives in Canada and reps the only Canadian basketball team in the NBA.

Can't stop following this story and his tweets. Most interesting non-Raptors thread in a while. Mark Jones is so weird. It's like he almost feels forced to remind everyone he's a Proud American every few weeks.

Like I said...its like he is just trying to keep immigration agents off his trail to hide the fact that he's still a Canadian and is living in US to avoid having to pay Canadian and US taxes. If they ever bother to open his file...he'd be deported and charged with tax evasion...on both sides of the border.

But wouldn't this be overdoing it? I mean, especially on twitter where you can't really fool anyone. I'm kind of surprised the Canadians responding to him have been so easy on him. He almost invites ridicule.

I don't get him. As someone who is similar to him in a way as far as family immigrating from elsewhere, I love Canada, and I've been to the States several times. I'd easily rep Canada over those idiots south of the border. I'm not even remotely patriotic (my home country is my real home to me) but Canada is easily the best country in the Western World. Easily. What's not to like (aside from weather)?

Guy is hilarious though, he must have been bullied when he first moved there or something. Did he really play for Team Canada? My goodness lol

In a way I kind of get him, it must have been horrible growing up a basketball fan in this country in the 80's and early 90's. The puckheads he encountered were probably a lot worse than the ones we have today, dude probably resents Canada because of that.

Like I said earlier - Mark Jones is a massive douche who I ignore whenever possible.

Does he love living in America? Yes. But there is no reason to trash Canada like he does.

It is very disrespectful to the country where he got his start. He just makes himself look small, petty and ungrateful. I often think that his brother (a proud Canadian) must cringe when he reads Mark's asinine tweets.
