Completely agree. I know we need a PF but Luwawu looks like a Rich man's Thabo. Could be our starting SF for many years.

You can't teach height. You can't teach length. You can't teach a good motor. You can't teach skill either now? What can you teach?

Seriously...you can't teach skill?

Honestly. Go look at film from Demar's first season and watch his dribbling. It limited his game greatly because he didn't have confidence in his handle, you'd see it with how often he'd circle back and maintain the dribble, instead of penetrating the defense and causing collapses. But look at the guy now. It's a running gag that he likes to bounce the ball off his foot (especially during crunch time), but his ball handling skills are far, far greater than when he first entered the league. And that's because dude puts in the work and strives to improve. Now he's among the league leaders in FTA per game. And while much of that is crafty pump fakes to get guys to leave their feet, a greater chunk is his ability to drive the lane and initiate the contact. Again, something he can do now largely in part because he's improved his ball handling.

C'mon Denver drop down a couple of spots. It's crazy, coming into the season, i thought weould have have to worry about the Knicks over performing in a weak East, never thought that Denver would even have a chance considering they were in a tougher conference and playing with so many injuries. Denver has definitely played a little over their talent level while the Knicks continue being the Knicks.

Either way, top 10 pick for Bargnani, can't complain

Exactly and this is true, I hope whoever we draft (both picks) they have a good motor and are willing to put the work in ala DeMar.

Definitely a shaky handle, but assuming Demar is here, well need players who can excel off the ball.

Did anyone notice if luwawu can shoot off his dribble, I didn't see much evidence of it during his hi-lite video.
Also he seems to have a slow release where as he needs to get his feet set before he shoots.

Big game today for the Thank in Sacramento vs Minnesota. Sacramento must win this. There is just no excuse not to.

Honestly, prior to this year I might have been more inclined to draft a lower ceiling player who could contribute right away, like a guaranteed rotation big who could give us 15-20 mins at the PF which would really help a winning team with little cap flexiblity.

However, seeing how the 905 has helped Delon, Bruno, Bebe, and Norman - I'm really excited with the direction Masai is going. At this point, what is stopping us from going for the Boom-or-Bust picks every time. We've already got all four of those guys locked up for cheap and some nice moveable contracts on this team - Masai can afford to shoot for the stars and draft for the highest upside. Having young prospects on the Raptors is more exciting than ever man, can't wait to see what he does this draft!

Yeah if you can't beat the team that beat Golden State last game, there is definitely something wrong with you.

If Minnesota takes Hield...that is going to be one dynamic, young, explosive team. Lavine, Hield, Wiggins, Towns. Yikes..

Or they can take simmons or Ingram and be even better

As it stands, the Knicks pick has 15% chance of being Top 3 and Nuggets pick has 6.1% of Top 3. That means we have a 15% * 6.1% = 0.915% chance of Top 3. Let's pray to the Ping Pong ball gods lol

Edit: My math was slightly off because I used summations to attempt to average it all out. Correct math is two posts lower for true odds of 0.6047%, assuming Denver and NY finish in spots 7 and 9.

I have no idea if your logic is sound, but 1% isnt bad at all.

I believe he is using the independent probability principle, where two events that occur independent of each other at the same time, are multiplied.

Edit: Correct me if I am wrong and the Bulls had a 1.7 % chance of landing the #1 pick so it's possible lmaoo

Not sure what the principle is called, but it is the chance that event B happens if and only if event A happens. It's a bit off because I just used summations of their top 3 odds (ie. probability Team A gets 1 2 or 3 and Team B gets 1 2 or 3).

More correctly, would be using official odds to take in account Team B getting pick 2 or 3 only after Team A has already gotten pick 1 or 2

NY(7) .043/.049/.058
Den (9) .017/.02/.024

NY (7) gets #1, Den gets #2 = .043*.02 = 0.00086 = 0.086%
NY gets #1, Den gets #3 = .043*.024 = .001032 = 0.1032%
NY gets #2, Den gets #3 = .049*.024 = .001176 = 0.1176%
Den gets #1, NY gets #2 = .017*.049 = 0.000833 = 0.0833%
Den gets #1, NY gets #3 = .017*.058 = 0.000986 = 0.0986%
Den gets #2, Ny gets #3 = 02*.058 = 0.00116 = 0.116%

Summing up those individual probabilities, our actual odds of a top 3 are 0.6047%, so a bit worse than my original comment

Edit: These odds are based off the probabilities from the Wikipedia Draft article, which are averaged. Odds are always variable based on what happens before (ie. Team #1 gets 250 balls, Team #7 has 43, Team #9 has 17, and Team #14 has 5). If the 76ers win pick #1, Team #7 has a 43/750 chance to get #2; conversely if Team #14 magically wins #1, Team #7 has 43/996chances to win pick #2. So those numbers in my post are averaged.

Luwawu has a slow release on his shot. Kind of worrying.

Doubt either of those two hit pick #3, more plausible is somebody like Hield, Brown, Bender, or Dunn being at Minny's spot in that 5 range. I just see Hield being a really great fit for them

Luwawu is not a top 10 pick, and at best duplicates what we already have with Powell, Ross and Bruno. Another prospect being overhyped based on highlight videos against scrubs. Not BPA and doesn't even fill a need = no thanks.

Jaylen Browns game reminds me of Paul pierce, he has all the physical tools to be elite and his skills are just gonna keep improving, he is only 19. Pierce stayed in college 3 yrs so he was a lot more polished as a rookie. I really want the raptors to take this guy if he falls or is in trading range.
