no doubt about that.....the problem is, who is gonna be better 3 years from now!!!

how many minutes is the 27th pick gonna play on a playoff team??

might as well go high risk, high reward

offensively sure, but they also provide rebounds to bail our guards out, and hopefully defensive rebounding and blocks to bail our guards out

also, maybe casey is scared of athletic young-minded guys, cause the last sophmore he believed in was ross who went out and got a groupie preggerz and is now dating a celebrity

I know nothing of this kid just from what we've heard. I like this pick. Hustle can rebound, block shots, shoot. Trust Masai.

Called it in this thread a few weeks ago. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1451683&start=40#

Pascal Siakam - Serge Ibaka 2.0? 7'3 wingspan with a 8'11.5" standing reach plus he can jump out the gym? I'm intrigued

hmm...from what I can see
Paskal doesnt really have a jumper.
Yes, he had a very high PER however he plays in an extremely weak conference where the only decent teams are Baylor and Wichita State. He had decent lines against them.
To note though..his team (New Mexico State) is absolute trash and basically a one man team. He's basically carrying the defensive and offensive load for them and in the baylor/wichita games, they basically just denied him the ball to really put him out of his game and made him shoot jumpers.

I'm not all over it but he's really not as bad as some of you think.
He's an analytical pick and possibly a hidden gem because he plays for a terrible team in a terrible conference that did not make any noise at all.

I'm intrigued by his budding skill level. Already got the necessary toughness/interior production. Wonder how his feel is for passing/playmaking, if he really improves there as he has in other areas since getting legit coaching he could be a huge steal.

I can live with this pick. Energy always translates and length never hurts.

Wanted Skal but apparently a lot of GMs weren't very high on him.
