Spurs must have been desperate. They have Gay and LMA and now they add third inefficient and high volume shooter without defense?!?! For me this is on level with Carter fiasco, only this time we are not on a short end of the stick LOL

A straight up Green for DeRozan swap (disregarding salaries) would've been an improvement but you're telling me we also got a top 3 or 5 guy. We also got to keep all our best young guys.

Raps got waaaaaaaaaaaay better.

I have, I was there last month. I love sitting on the I5 for ten hours every day to get somewhere around the city. I love the way the city smells when it is 98 degrees and there is dog **** all over. I love the night life and having to stand in line to go to a **** bar. Yes, I love LA, I even love the tacos there, especially when I had better ones at kensignton market. I love how most of the girls there are on the bigger side. I love how most people smell like they do not know what deodorant is. I love how LA turns from a rich area to a poor area in less than one mile. Yes LA is amazing.

LA is but Toronto is better than most cities not named NY or LA.

exaggerating but man, ppl hype demar like hes our lebron. the guy was horrible in the playoffs and has consistently sucked in the playoffs.
He cant shoot the 3 and is a horrible defender.

the team at times played better without him. most overrated player i have ever seen. if he didnt have that loyalty bs, everyone would be saying its a great deal for us.

Yeah bring in a guy who doesn't want to be here. When he gets injured watch when the raps medical staff clear him he will ask for a second or third opinion making his return super long or not happening at all.

Then when he's a free agent July 1st next year he's gone. Stop thinking so narrow mindedley for a second and think past this year.

I have to believe Masai knows deep down that Kawhi is walking and so will Green unless we overpay. We all know Masai shopped Demar and Kyle leading up to the draft and struck out on both of them. When he realized we weren't going to get the right rebuilding package he went the other direction and paid for one year of real title contention. Now we're out of pocket but at least we have an upgrade and if the plan is rebuild then we just moved up the timeline, and will avoid a bunch of luxury tax.

who is Chris Haynes.

ya listening to a guy who talks about another guy who doesn't want to be here,

I am thinking about past this year. Demar was going to be traded regardless because Lowry and Ibaka are expiring. There's going to be a rebuild. Kawhi can still be traded at the trade deadline. so maybe you should go think of something else other than this trade because if Lakers want Kawhi, they'll trade for Kawhi to get his bird rights so they give him the extra $40M while we get Ingram + whatever package they want to give us.

Its a gutsy move because there are a lot of factors here. i.e. Kawhi resigns. Kawhi can fetch more on the open market than Derozan at the trade deadline. Kawhi leaves, Raptors trade Lowry and Ibaka - expirings for assets - right away. and the rebuild starts there.

i'm okay if he was a 36% 3 point shooter. when he can't score - he stops playing and gives 0 effort on defense when that happens.

There weren't many long term stars available. Players of Kawhi's caliber aren't often available.
Don't we always whine about not having a superstar, a true top 10 player? When that player is available, you have to take the chance. Especially at such a low cost
