tSame as FVV and we played the Sixers' C team.
We can be excited about Barnes without dumping on Suggs

I'm not dumping on him and didn't you just dump on Banton even though statistically he had a much better game than Suggs.

Zero chance in hell Scottie is a bust. He's incapable of that.

bruh, dude never even brought the ball back to his off hand. one handed dunk from the dribble.

Drummond kind of had his way with us though.

You realize if its not pre-season we would just pick and roll him off the court right?

Perhaps I’m way off but I see the roster as two separate groups.
1. Organized system guys
2. Hustle/Scramble/transition guys

Obviously the best options can do both but today Nurse played the backend guys that fit group 2 more.

Next game guys like Flynn, Wainwright and Dekker will get more opportunity. Trent will also probably be back too.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

his pull up shooting is more legit this year. this is going to be a guy who is going to shoot if you have your hands down on D. he seems a lot more confident with his jump shot.

with the looks Nurse was giving him on offense, there's definitely more leniency on what he can do this year (and not just be a spot up 3 point shooter like the last 2-3 years)

Og’s had a quick trigger since his rookie season. Right now Nick can’t bench him when he takes low iq shots as there are no scorers here.

Banton and Barnes looking like legit steals. Achiuwa is incredibly versatile. Did not know Svi had this kinda skillset, he's a Matt Thomas 3.0. Season should be a good one.

Nurse was running some swooping far-side 3pter into the paint cuts for OG to come towards the ball and post up in the low post - OG kind of let himself get pushed out of the paint towards the 3pt line/corner as he was coming because the pass didnt come in fast enough - i think thybulle also was able to knock one entry away cutting in front of the slow easy pass

i noticed we had a bunch of sets for OG in the low/extended baseline post-up especially off a switch with a guard - he even drew a 3 second in the key on one of his post-turn and face up dribble sets

the problem is our guys arent great at making a post-entrry pass from the elbow-extended 3pter into OG's seal, FVV, malachi, precious, i think champagnie also had a turnover with that pass too

If anyone has ever played ball, you know that having a guy like Scottie on your team equates to winning. He doesnt have to score much, but he's just so involved in every play in one way or another. It's hard to quantify or explain, but if you played ball you get what I mean. You just need a guy like that on your team to win and it has nothing to do with his personal stats.

ya they need to work on that pass because Siakam, OG, Precious, Barnes, should be getting a lot of touches in the post to initiate offense and maybe lure a second defender to them.

its only the first game so hopefully it will be perfected by the time season gets into full swing.
