It's not like our bench is lighting it up anyways.

Champagne is a great rebounder, good shooter and plays really smart defense. He could be an ideal rotation guy as a SF/ small ball PF, hell he could use all of Banton's minutes, I still doesn't understand why he doesn't get any Burn while Banton gets major minutes. This team could use his feistiness, he has some nastiness in him that you just can't teach.
Because Banton is Canadian, that's why! /S

Champagnie doesn't help any of our core issues. He defends and rebounds. We already do that. He can't shoot (somehow multiple posters have called him a good shooter despite shooting 27% from 3 in the G-league). Can't create for others or himself.

This team is an offensive wasteland right now (terrible 3pt shooting, terrible self-creation efficiency in the half court). Guys like Champagnie and Banton only escalate these problems, even if they may have other skills.

I'm at the point where we need to gift Flynn some minutes. He's the only guy with the theoretical skills (shooting, pnr play) that could boost this team. If it fails after 10 games, so be it, but let's try something else.

I would 'free' Champagnie and Dowtin and send down Kolo and Flynn/Banton. Both Champagnie and Dowtin looked good in their short run with us, and offer size and rebounding and scoring.

Kolo is a one-dimensional C who doesn't rebound or finish dunks on offense, while Banton/Flynn both have flaws to their games. Dowtin is already 25, so let's see the guy play.

i was courtside last night for 905 vs Hawks and Champagbie was definitely the best Raptor out there. i sit courtside about 5 times a year at the 905 and Justin attitude has really changed. He whines to the ref on every single play , its annoying as hell. I think he is getting frustrated with getting no shot on the big team and realizes his time is running out to get his shot in the NBA. On another note A.J lawson really passes the eye test and was the best player on the floor last night.. Hooe he gets his chance to prove it up one level and he really should get a shot on the SMNT

Koloko doesn’t get defensive rebounds because he always moves away from the basket to box out an opponent, and lets a teammate get the rebound.
