LOL

Morrison played 13 total minutes for the Lakers in the 2010 playoffs. All in the 1st round. He played 5 4th quarter minutes in a 20 point OKC blowout. He then played 9 4th quarter minutes in 24 point Laker blowout.

Do you consider Eric Moreland a championship role player? Because he played 2x as many minutes for us in the 2019 playoffs than Morrison played for the 2010 Lakers.

Is Zeller still playing?

He hasn't played since last season. And he looks finished as an NBA player after getting waived (twice)

The absolute worst place to finish is 10th or 11th in the East, unless your'e going to pull off some upsets in the play-in games and make your way into the 8th seed. You either want to win and be a playoff team or lose and be about where the Magic are now... worst case scenario is where you are right now.

Yeah, if you don't already have the reigning ROY.

Nothing you said here means anything, congrats. Still a role player on 2 championship teams.

Currently...

https://www.nbadraft.net/players/gg-jackson/

And a bunch of solid but mostly unspectacular SG propsects.

He will be gone sooner though if he delivers any of what's promised. But I don't know/beleive we will end up there yet.

Jarace Walker, Baba Miller, Anthony Black, Cason Wallace....

It would be my guess we'd draft one of them if we're in that range assuming we don't end up 14th, in which case idk if any of them will still be available which would be very disappointing.

Not a bad list tbh. They have a franchise guy in Ball and almost everyone else on that list had longterm NBA careers. Not sure what point youre trying to make here.

For a top 5 pick, you're not hoping to draft some journeyman. Ball is the only guy on the list who panned out.

Your threshold for a top 5 pick is extremely low

Morrisison - BUST
Felton - peaked at 15/8, career averages of 11/5 - borderline bust? Won 1 playoff series in his career
MKG - Bust
Zeller - 100% not in the league and was a 10/6 peak and out of the league before he turned 30

So they got Lamelo Ball and Okfaor who peaked at 14/11 and career averages of 12/10.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Morrison could have been cut before the playoffs and it would not have made a difference. Calling him a role player and not an "end of the bench scrub" is a stretch.

Just so we're all on the same page here: you're contending that Adam Morrison was less of a bust because he found himself on a roster that happened to win the title. Because if that's not your position, why did you bring up that he was a role player on a championship team in a post that was clearly trying to defend the Hornets terrible draft record?

I do think with another 5 lottery picks the Hornets could be a real contender to make the play-in. Keep an eye out for them in 2028.

I said he was a bust in the original post. Still had a decent career.

Or maybe they can sign great free agents like Otto Porter, Khem Birch, Juancho Hernangomez, Demarre Carroll, Aron Baynes, Freddie Gillespie, svi mykhailiuk

Makes sense since you think Scotties Barnes is trash so who needs players like him from the draft lottery.
