Barnes has looked like the best player on the court against some awesome players in his career. He just needs to channel this consistently. At the same time, the team needs to put himself in this position more consistently.

Where was he placed in the offense in that 4th? Why are we using him like he's Gradey Dick? Is this all to build Siakam's value? Also Siakam once again disappeared when Barnes was going while Barnes disappeared while Siakam was going.

Apparently the stats say they play well together.

Sometimes I wonder what people are watching.

They both put up 22/8/4ish and you’re complaining still?

They also showed some nice chemistry with Siakam cutting off Barnes penetration that Nurkic barely shut down a couple times

Everyone played great. Gotta remember the dynamics of the gravity that Siakam has in drawing double teams that opens in up for other folks.

Yeah I think both can be true.

Scotties effort level and engagement is inconsistent.
The way he’s used isn’t always best for his skill set.

They don't play well together lol. Whenever Siakam was going Barnes was standing on the perimeter. Whenever Barnes was going, Siakam was standing on the perimeter. They maybe play off each other once a game. Are you sure you watch the game lol?

You also said Barnes was being lazy multiple times this season when he's not involved in the offense, while he has been having a great defensive impact all season. How many players impact the game that way while pouting and not caring? Come on.

Also aren't you the one who wanted to trade Siakam for scrubs and Buddy Hield? Make up your mind man. I have been very consistent with all my comments and don't flip back and forth after every stretch.

Siakam and Barnes showed some great chemistry in the 4th. Nurkic has two big blocks that were great cuts and passes.

And maybe? Any trade I’ve suggested have been all contingent on draft capital so if I ever suggested something for Hield it certainly wasn’t a straight 1 for 1 swap.

You’re very consistent I’ll give you that - but you also refuse to budge on what you’ve dug your heels in and are incapable of being impartial. Tonight was a good Siakam and Barnes game and what do you do? Bitch about Siakam.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Man the Suns traded all those picks for KD and they still suck. Definitely makes you feel better about our future.

great game. good effort on both ends of the floor. seems like Booker and KD played right into the Raptors hands. don't double any of them. Raptors are good enough to defend both players on single coverage.

Exactly! Not sure why this continues to be a debate on this board. Sometimes he dogs it. Sometimes the team puts him in a terrible position. Sometimes he just needs to play through it like he did tonight. He wasn’t given the ball to start the fourth, he took it. And when he was successful, the team started giving it to him. THAT is how you ascend and respond to not being given the keys—you take them.

I really wanted the Flynn redemption arc to be a thing, but I really don’t think it’s gonna happen. This team desperately needs a guard off the bench other than Gary.

This is what we've been asking for from Scottie, take the ball and make something happen, nobody is preventing him from doing it but his own mental, yes he can work on handles and add to the bag but even this version can dominate, now lets bring it every gameeee

It's usually a good sign when they have Matt & Jack talk about the problems happening with the team. They did this for Siakam and successfully got him going. They've now started talking about this kind of stuff about Barnes (how the 4 bench line-up is a bad idea) and now he's getting going, albeit for 1 game so far.

Hope it works out.

Bingo.

He also hasn’t really played good enough at all this entire year to justify throwing him the keys without question.

I actually didn't bitch about Siakam? I said Barnes was standing around on the perimeter while Siakam was going in the first half and Siakam was standing on the perimeter while Barnes was going off. This has been pretty consistent for the last couple of seasons. Both players are onball players. This isn't 2019 Siakam anymore and he shouldn't be offball. Though others have suggested that maybe changing to a big who can shoot 3s and reducing Schroder's time with the ball can make this duo work. I just don't see that happening with Darko though..
