He got the same deal he got last time (25% of the cap). Seems reasonable for a player of his level. If we can lock in a top 5 pick this year I’ll be more ok with the Ingram trade than I initially was.

Don’t really have a problem with the player option. If things aren’t working out I don’t see why we can’t flip him in 2 years for a similar package that we sent out. A non-lotto 1st for 2 years of Ingram at a fair-ish salary seems like solid business.

Probably going to find out this is 40 million with games played incentives

The difference next season between Pascal's money and BI's money will be about $8m less for Toronto, covers BI's age 28 season vs age 31 season for Pascal. And BI is a more complementary player for Scottie.

I'm fine with the number in abstract but I'm not a huge fan of how little tax wiggle room there is this offseason, especially if the lottery gods come through.

I really hope we get a top 5 pick this year. Then next year can finally be exciting again as a Raptors fan.

People are forgetting about Tre Johnson (projected #6 pick), he would be lethal on this team aswell. Especially with Scottie. After 6 is when I’d get worried

You could see RJ getting dealt for an expiring + a 1st next season. Wouldn't surprise me.

Blake Murphy says no incentives/bonuses.

34 is absolute nonsense. Nobody sane was expecting this AAV. Pure trolling.

Now the big question is can he stay healthy? I'm really hoping this doesn't turn into a Damarre Carroll type situation.

This is great, not quite flat like IQ's but almost. Main thing is various cap/tax thresholds will be growing faster than his contract escalates.

This has worked out really well all around. Also, the "core" is the core until it isn't. Nobody saw Demar getting flipped for Kawhi. Bottom line, the FO has found a way to elevate the talent level of the team at minimal cost.

That would be a good problem to have.

This organization is so predictable.

I mean, it does start at $37 if you factor in max raises which most were. Is that so far off?

the team has until the 2026 draft to get under the luxury tax if they don't want to pay it.

Also we almost completely revamped our bench from the pascal trade. I wasn’t a fan of the pascal trade at the time but it’s turned out to great value for the situation we were in

34 was the minimum starting salary with maximum increases on a 5 year 200 million dollar deal.

This deal is way safer for the team and worse for Ingram.

I mean Carroll was a role player , nothing more. He was for the most part healthy.. he just suckeddd. Ingram is 10x more talented and I believe with our beloved Alex, he will be fine

Yup, just think that it will be a more painful process if they do have to do so now.
