Barnes gets praise, and you still have the need to make excuses. Thats emberassing.

Embarrassing is not having a counterargument for your bad take.

Counterargument:

There is a difference between shooting more 3s and settling for 3s.

Shooting open 3s -> good shots. He just misses to much.

Settling for 3s -> beeing afraid to attack, beeing timid, not beeing patient for a better shot. All things he did and are not good.

So yes, its is embarassing for your scottie cult to reflexivly have the need to defend every little thing - even when he gets praised.

Lol tell that to the Raptors entire coaching staff, cause they were perfectly fine with him taking those shots. You’re just complaining for the sake of complaining.

The second I saw Little on the mound I knew he was gonna blow it.

I mean, this is part of the frustration. The guy can bully ball almost anyone. Even as a rookie he could move centers off their spot. He just doesn’t use it enough.

Or it's preseason?

People putting too much stock in pre season and tanking seasons ...

It’s been 4 years. How many years are you guys going give him as a pass?

Plenty of good players have been on tanking teams and haven’t regressed to the worst (ok, 2nd worst) volume scorer in the league.

And how are you going to say “too much stock in preseason” and then try and make your point off of a preseason game against one of the worst teams in the league? If the bad Barnes games mean nothing because it’s preseason then the good ones don’t mean anything either.

Brendon Little is persona non grata in Toronto. Every time this guy pitches something bad happens.

It was foolish to take out Varland who was rolling and just had a big strikeout to end the previous inning. He was fired up and locked in.

If he had gone to Hoffman then I would have understood, but to put in Little was negligence on a grand scale.

A bandwagon fan who just learned these guys names last week.

That's not the sentiment around here at all, and he's just not good enough is a cop out answer. How many players in the NBA are good enough for you? How many players have similar contracts to Barnes, are they good enough as well? The money has to be spent regardless

You tell yourself that, the kid was an allstar at one point. He literally can't be considered a "bad" player.

He's just failing to live up to expectations and show a lack of improvement for the nth year in a row.
