Porzingis does nothing but bomb 3s
Trae is a pylon on defense and foul baits all game

Great win, very confused by the people who felt like IQ had a bad game, were we watching the same game?

I was impressed by IQ’s finishing today which was a weakness so I’m encouraged.

His shot wasn’t falling but that was never a weakness in his game.

Whole team looked good.

I like that despite the poor spacing, we're able to move the ball around. Darko's philosophy shines through. Lots of positives to take away from this game.

- Scottie played his role instead of forcing jumpers like in the preseason. He looked great. Johnson put up slightly better stats but had half the impact.
- Ingram was too much of a ball stopper, didn't run or space the floor. But that mid-range is money. Hope he can find more ways to contribute.
- RJ and Gradey were fantastic all around, both their defense and rebounding looked much improved.
- IQ had a rough shooting night, but started looking much better with his drives in the second half. He needs to get better at the PnR, right now RJ is our only effective PnR ballhandler.
- Poetl and Shead were solid.
- Sandro looked great. He's also not a pylon on defense like Olynyk, he gets outmatched athletically but he'll contest shots.
- Surprised that Walter couldn't even get garbage minutes. Then again, he was not very impressive in preseason.

The Hawks looked really bad though. Porzingis looks like a bench player now, looked like a slower Sandro out there. Johnson is more of a non-shooting wing than a big man, he can't really defend the paint. Daniels provides nothing offensively. And Trae is horrendous as ever on defense. The Bucks will be a better litmus test.

To the shock of the entire league, Porzingis is not a defensive presence in the paint.

Also, I thought both coaches talking to each other at the end were agreeing that the reffing sucked tonight. Very inconsistent.

Didn't catch the 2nd half but impressed we won by a good margin. RJ keeps consistently being our top scorer lol IQ stays being on the TL for me.

Only one game but a road win is always welcome, I think what is encouraging is the lack of 3s and number of paint buckets which usually translates to a good team when their shot is on.

I dont think it’s that simple. Ingram is gonna neee some spacing in that starting lineup. Rj hitting 3s is great but Barnes needs to be able to keep the defenses honest in that regard as well. Ingram is gonna have the ball more as an iso guy and he needs to be able to kick out when he’s in the paint or when he’s double teamed.

We played 11 guys tonight without Jakobe or boyles. Someone is gonna be the odd man out. We should’nt be playing everyone just because. One of Jakobe, dick, or ochai is gonna get the short end of the stick. Based on last seasons production ochai should stay… and between dick and Jakobe it’s gonna be who is consistently better… right now dick looks pretty good. If he can hit his 3s consistently I think he sticks.

If we’re making a run and expect to contend, I believe the depth is gonna be consolidated for more proven higher end talent.

He was 0-7 from 3, which is abysmal, but yes strong otherwise.

Was working didnt catch the game. I see Poeltl got in foul trouble and him and Sandro only played 39 minutes. What did the lineup look like with no Center on the floor. Scottie and Mogbo? Was it successful?

also important to remember Barnes scored 14 of his points in transition tonight.

He was still borderline useless in half court situations

That might be one of the most impressive stats of the night. Your "shooter" PG goes 0 for 7 on very good looks. Still win by 20.

Quick isn't going 0 for 7 every night. Going to bend the floor when he catches fire.

Apparently if you say things like this you’re a troll though.

He had 9 assists, and plenty were not in transition. I thought he did a pretty good job getting the ball to the right place. I don't think I would describe him as having been borderline useless in those situations today.

Liked what I saw from everyone. That’s pretty rare. Haven’t felt this good after a game in a while. Really itching to see CMB out there though. That’s the only negative I have right now lol.
