Bulls will definitely come down. But I like their team. For what they are.

East is completely wide open. Only teams I'd have as guaranteed top 6 teams are Cleveland and New York.

Comeback win, was wondering if this team still had that type of fight in them this season so good to see.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

He's undersized, sooner see him at the 4. Not undersized in hustle.

You want him at the 4 and CMB to not play at all?

What I don't want is Poeltl hurt and Mamu or CMB have to play against starting 5's.

To answer your question, have them share the 4. I don't want CMB getting starter minutes anyway.

They would've absolutely ruin my Friday night if we lost to this team lol

This Hawks team is legit defensively though. They fought hard tonight.

They're kinda like the Raptors two years ago: the entire team is long lanky forwards with no proper pg or c

We saw how KP pulled Poeltl out of the paint for NAW and Daniels. We need someone like that for Barnes, Ingram and RJ or IQ in the future. It gives the offense a completely different look.

Yeah at some point the first rounder trump card should be trashed for Walter, Battle is outplaying him in every aspect of the game. I used to think Battle couldn't defend but he's proving me wrong so far. He should just be ahead of Walter period.

Battle should be ahead of Dick and Walter easily. I think Ja’Kobe will get better though and eventually take Ochai’s spot. Dick is interesting and can still become a legit offensive weapon off the bench.

Felt like his worst game and yet still putting up those numbers is crazy lol

he carries us during the regular season

He’s not that type of player. What he will do is make offence easier for the other starters by being on the court

Barnes played awful for three quarters then got them back in it in the fourth. Took a lot of shots out of his comfort zone tonight. Didn’t have any open catch and shoot three opportunities. Too many spinning hook shots. Did his job but you want the process to be better.

Ingram held it down offensively of course but also crashed the defensive boards well. Great game from him.

RJ was horrible in the first half defensively. Kept losing his man on cuts, closeouts, box outs, everything. Forced it a bit offensively tonight too (to join Barnes in that regard).

Great lift from IQ tonight. A few bad decisions but was mostly good. Nice to see him make some shots.

Poeltl wasn’t a good matchup this game. Mamu played with energy but was defended well. CMB mostly a non factor. Shead played well. Dick played well. Battle had a key defensive stop.

Gotta give it to Darko though. The guys were floundering and he switched up his schemes until he found something that worked (space the floor and get Barnes the ball going downhill and iso BI where he likes it).

Hawks played well. They made us uncomfortable defensively all night. But we turned up the D as well and exposed their lack of dribble penetration in the second half. Darko won this game for us.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive

One consistent bench scorer and rebounder away from being a top 5 lock

Didn’t see that. He was a no show for 3 quarters, his plus/minus accurately shows that.

Thankfully the bench and Ingram kept us afloat until Scottie decided to show energy.

There are two sides of the court and Scottie was just fine defensively the whole game. Not perfect, but solid. People just look at Ingram's 20 points and don't consider his poor effeciency. He missed a bunch of open threes and his defense was meh.

So yeah, Scottie wasn't dominating out there, but when we needed a run in the 4th, he was the guy spearheading it. The 9-0 run that got us our first lead in the 4th happened when Ingram was on the bench. Darko surrounded SB with a bunch of shooters and opened everything up. Credit to Dick and IQ for making those threes.

They arent wrong, Barnes wasnt good compared to the others. 2nd Half was better, like for most.

Maybe I'm wrong, is Mamu or rookie CMB a backup centre on a playoff team?

Not sure I understand the concern about Mamu as a backup C? He has the best DRTG on the team while also being really good offensively and spacing the floor for us.

Size still matters. Yes Mamu played great, especially in the first half where we needed it. But in the end, its only ok against the bench of other teams. Against other Bigs, he has troubles, because of his lack of size.

Just realized both teams combined 45 for 48 from the FT line. Isn't that like 93% or something? That's amazing!

Barnes was fine. Obviously not his best game but still led the team in rebounds and blocks. He was also the only starter without a turnover. We don't win that game without the 8/3/3 he put up in the 4th. In the 1st quarter he was very engaged and energized, and then was largely ineffective for stretches after that until the 4Q, along with most everyone else. He abandoned the 3ball once he realized it wasn't gong to drop for him, so that was good to see. Last night was the exact type of game that would have went off the rails for him last season, The growth is obvious, many are just choosing not to see it.

Both Bulls and Pistons each have a player that will make the allstar team this year. I do agree that the East is wide open as key injuries can change a team's outlook quickly. Wide range of possibilities for Raptors as I expect them to make playoffs...

I completely agree. There were very few play calls for Scottie in the first half, and I imagine that was done by design. If he's gonna be on the floor with Ingram, Barrett, and Quickly, it makes sense to have those guys shoulder the bulk of the offense. There were also moments where Scottie would get pressured by the defense and he'd pass it to the open guy, and the open guy didn't do much with it. Happened a couple times with Walter and CMB. Virtually no one but Mamu and Ingram played well in the first half.
