Everyone is aware Raptors suck you troll, and we can spot when the coaches says something out of touch. DC says it all the time, and so is Kazlauskas in this case.

You say that just too make contra argument for me or you realy think that ? i remember all your (RGM) posts and draft sites predictions and so. Everyone was saying that one of main JV's strenghts is P'nR before he came into NBA. Suddenly in one year pnr isnt hes strenght anymore ? Or he was exeling at pnr because he had some mysteriuos shadow pg with who he did that ? Dont tell me it was all Jasikevicius, who made all NBA think JV is great at pnr when he isnt. And yes, i agree that uor guards suck at it, but they suck at it on same level, like last year. Just JV worked alot too make it happen, now somehow he doesnt do that.
And sorry im not trolling, im just anoyed to read how uor coach dont know a thing, how uor bball legend should shut up. Sorry but i trust theyr words much more then yours, and if they say he regresed in pnr, i believe in that. If they say hes abit robotic, i believe in that (that he is abit robotic you can see with your own eyes).
Aw well bball is about to start, so good game for everyone.

(Kalnietis was on last mens team, Cizauskas was JV's main pnr guy for 5 years.....) It looks to me that you guys can't take critics. Nobody is crucyfiing JV or Raptors, but there are some things that might be done better, there are some things too fix.

Of course there are some things to "fix". He's a 21 year old C. He's still developing. There will be things to "fix" for the next 3-4 years.

The Raptors are trying to turn him into a franchise player. A guy that you can dump the ball to on an isolation play & let him go to work. To do that against NBA centers, JV needed to add more muscle/ strength. He also needed to work on his post game. That is all he focused on this summer.

Did you see JV running pick n' rolls in Summer League? No. He doesn't need to work on the pick n' roll. That is all he has been doing for years. He needs to add more to his game. Who cares about the damn pick n' roll. There are bigger & better things to come for Jonas. I want Jonas to become more than the next Amir Johnson.

The Lithuanian staff seem to be upset that JV's development this summer doesn't necessarily mirror the style of play that they want to play at this qualifier.

With all of the work JV put in with the Raptors this past summer, he will be a much better NBA player down the road because of it. That's the most important thing for JV is it not?

With all of the whining we're hearing, the Lithuanian NT seem to have their best interest in mind more so than JV's career.

JV is a much better player now than the player I saw last summer with the Lithuanian NT. Is that not a testament to his development with the Raps over the past year?

I am not saying he was bad in pick and roll, I say Cizauskas is. Pick and roll was Jonas greatest scoring strength in Europe, hasn't translated very well. From day one he wasn't AS good at pick and roll in th NBA, guard play helped to repress that, but it wasn't all that.
His ability haven't really changed, hes just not setting hundreds of screens per game anymore. He is not just a garbage man and off ball finisher anymore. I am not saying JV is perfect or that every aspect of his game improved. Sometimes, to be better at one thing, you have to sacrifice something else. He is not as fluid anymore, but he is far stronger.

Of course you will believe what those guys say, thats the problem. Thats what I been saying. Fans will believe everything those guys say blindly. Lithuania is kinda like Toronto, if everybody in Toronto believed everything Leo, Doug Smith and BC says.
You know when Tomas Pacesas is on TV, being a tool and constantly preaching, you know people believe his BS because he is a coach and everything.

I like that LT is pounding inside while Italy jacking long jumpers. Look at FT and 3pt attempt differential.

That's what I don't get. It seems like the Lithuanian NT wants JV to simply be a role player for them, whereas the Raptors organization are trying to develop him into a star player.

I thought the way JV was utilized last summer by his NT was terrible. There was no thoughts on developing his game. Like UcanUwill said.....he was simply a garbage man for them.

Travis Diener the Italian from Wisconsin.

Delinkaitis should def be the back up PG. Cut #6 and Cizauskas. They're just too inexperienced and not skilled and athletic enough to handle the pressure at PG.

You guys are inferring too much from practice games. The coach is trying different tactics and lineups. Once the tournament starts you'll see greater freedom from JV. This is kind of like SL where JV was told to only power in the post. Euro teams also tend to keep their playbook secret until the tournament... expect more pick & rolls and so forth.

Why is Travis Diener is playing for team Italy. Is he naturalized, or just a shady Italian?

Exactly. If they had a good guard play at least, at least then it would make some sense. They dont have a very good guard play, so they got a post player who can do some damage by himself, and they are not happy about it(?)
Doesn't really make sense. I understood when they criticized his post moves, I thought it wasn't fair, but I understood that. Now they seem to criticize him purely because he is concentrating on playing in post...

No, I am not concerned how JV is being used, I think they been using him fine. The things they say doesn't match with their play. Thats what worries me, I think they are about to give JV less freedom, not more.

What's up with JV not playing that much today? I only saw the last minute of the first quarter, so I don't know if he started the game but he barely played in the second.

The lineup for Italy right now has the muscle tone of a men's league team.

Funny - best passer in LTU team is small forward Jonas Maciulis. :)
