AHH had time to sleep and finally calmed down after this game. What a win! Last night I wasn't as happy as I though I would be going up 3-2 (was still in shock at the atrocious 4th quarter) But now I'm extatic! We have never seen a raptor team that would win a game after blowing that big of a lead. I am not sure if we are gaining respect with the officials either but that game seemed to be officiated very evenly.

Now this team has to close it out. Those **** heads threw the last couple games so they would play us and now the raptors have to make sure the nets reap what the sow! **** brooklyn **** the quiet ass barclays center that will be quiet as hell. **** the veterans that got their asses benched in the 4th. LET'S WIN THIS SERIES

IT'S OVER IN BROOKLYN! everyone needs to **** calm down.

SOrry this was not one of those "we won the game period" wins. This was a "we're goddamn lucky we avoided the most embarrassing loss in team history" win. Which isn't good.

CAN PEOPLE STOP FOCUSING ON THE NEGATIVES! WE WON THE GAME. WE'RE UP 3-2! WE'VE SHOWN WE CAN DOMINATE. YES, ALL THAT MATTERS IS WE WON! JUST LIKE ALL THAT MATTERED IN GAME 2 IS WE BLEW IT AT THE END! that's it... it's 3-2... the raptors showed theyre better... theyve controlled the past 2 games and have shown why theyre better... get over it... I HOPE NONE OF THE RAPTORS HAVE YOUR MENTALITY! THEY SHOULDN'T! THEY SHOULD STAY FOCUSED, FIGURE OUT WHAT WENT WRONG BUT GO INTO BROOKLYN KNOWING THEY CAN DESTROY THEM AT WILL IF THEY FOCUS. jeez man... this attitude is embarassing.

Exactly!!! The general mentality seems to be, when the Raps leave it a little late for a comeback, they suck. And when they build up a huge lead, then relax and let the other team almost come back, they suck. Even when they go 3-2 up against a team most people thought would challenge Miami, they suck and life in general sucks.

If the Raps had the immature mentality of some of the members on this board -- even mods FFS -- they might as well not even play the next game. Just sit at their lockers and think of all the negatives. "We lost momentum. It's over, boys. Send a white flag to the Brooklyn dressing room and wish them good luck in the next round." Luckily, the players aren't cowards. We should be okay. They've been learning from mistakes and growing all along. They'll learn from the mistakes in this one too. Just watch the next game and see.

PG interwiev.
Casey: "Its hard to win in this league without veterans".

Hahaha, well now i know why he puts Salmons and Hayes on the floor in 4th quarter. Without this duo we wouldn't win this game. :D

Holy ****

With all due respect, and I'm a massive fan, my heart bleeds raptors ball, I walked out of that arena pissed.

I'm happy we won, and at least it will keep us on our toes for next game... But to blow a 20 point lead in Iess than 10 min is impressive.

it's been happening with all teams throughout the playoffs. just be happy we won.

First why are there so many idiots saying that could have been a goaltend at the end?

Even watching it on the live broadcast I could clearly hear the multiple whistles as soon as D-Will grabbed the ball.

Play was dead as soon as that happened.

How do you blame Casey who has been a great coach, how do you blame Demar who has had better playoff start then Vince and Bosh, how do you blame Salmon who only plays 10min at night at max .... We won game 4 because of Caseys defensive adjustment, Demar has been our best player for 3 of the five games so far, Salmon has done okey the limited minute he has defended JJ...

Are you saying the Net's run has nothing to do with Casey not making any adjustment on subs/rotations or calling timeouts to re-focus his team? He failed to call appropriate timeouts during the run and made zero adjustments in regards to Joe Johnson. Who is supposed to be held accountable for that?

Ignore him. As far as he's concerned, Casey is doing excellent coaching as long as JV is off the floor. Saciid is a massive JV hater. So JV 1:42 of PT in 4th Q = good job Casey regardless of what else happens.

Saciid11 wrote:I think Casey knows when to play JV and when not to play him, afterall if he never took JV out in game 4 we wouldn't be up 3-2 in this series... JV gives you some scoring, but he gives up more then he gives you at the defensive, because of his poor defensive rotation ... 40 year old KG scored like what 8 points in the 4th Q game 4 when JV was on him, because is just damn to slow to recover on the help D.

That's a really long winded way to say JV wouldn't have fouled guys for 4 point plays which in this game would have been winning ball.

Plus he would have scored a few points unlike those scrubs Salmons and Hayes.

The 4 point play in the corner was your "best player's" fault anyway. He left his man in the corner to double team Blatche in the paint when #0 didn't have the ball.

I will take the W but raps are lucky they didn't call derozan for that foul after the free throw. Poor job of even letting Livingston get a hand on that rebound. A whistle there would have ended the game for us.

in the fourth with seconds to go, no they wouldn't. In the first, second or third then yes they would.

I agree with that but just like in game 3 when Livingston undercut fields there is no way they would call that either.

But the raptors played with fire yesterday and didn't get burned... hopefully they learned their lesson and also saw that when they play smart basketball and not turn it over they can run brooklyn out of the gym.

This quote from NetsDaily is so good. It's in rebuttal to some of the fans angry at the Nets PR writer Len Robbins taking a shot at their fanbase' support, and one of their user's responds back:

He's 100% right.....watch any other game and their fans are rabid….that Toronto crowd is insane….they’re 50 deep OUTISDE the arena…not to mention the crazies inside….our fans cheer when we make a run , or do something great….their fans are going crazy all game long trying to inspire their team….anybody that can’t see that simply isn’t looking…….there are pockets of crazy fans in Brooklyn ( like the Brooklyn Brigade )…but overall, we have had the meekest crowd of any home contest that I’ve seen on TV…..and the disparity between us and the Toronto and OKC crowds has been huge….Robbins is completely correct….

This might work in the favour of the raptors in my opinion. If they blew out the nets by 20+ I feel they would have been to confident going into game 6 and would have played with as much urgency. They have to treat game 5 like it was a loss and play game 6 like its do or die.
