tWo took an L keeping Lowry, but we did trade away Norm. Late lottery still most likely? Treadmill here we come.

Everything was lining up perfectly for a high pick.

Only variable left is seeing key injuries. Covid season has been a wild ride. You never know.

At this point, would TWO prefer we buyout Lowry and let him ring chase and save us some money?

There is almost no chance we are re-signing Lowry in the summer. And the return for Lowry's bird right is not worth the drop in our 1st round pick.

Nah, with his bird rights I think the Raptors overpay once again in an extension.

No other team is going to offer him 25-30M per year, but the Raptors will accommodate that.

Siakam, OG, FVV, Trent Jr and Lowry is your capped out team for the next 2-4 years.

In retrospect, this is why I was advocating for trading Lowry over a month ago. If you could gauge that the deadline return wouldn't measurably appreciate from a smaller deal back then (say a pick and a prospect), you can pull the trigger then and have locked in a bunch more losses. The value of our pick could have already been in that top 5 slot.

We'll be at the 6th pick by the end of the week. Maybe even 5th because the Wizards start to play some meh teams.

It's gonna take a while for GTJ to settle in and get used to the news scehems and stuff.

They lost depth.

Norm's ultra efficient offense is gonna be really hard to replace this year.

What this means? More losses = better lottery odds.

The Tank rolls on.
