Buying dragic out and carrying salary for multiple years would be **** stupid. Its not like hes a total scrub if he cant salvage his value by the deadline then just let him expire

It’s a buyout not a stretch provision.

It would essentially be your owed 19 mill we will buy you out for 12 mill cash and you get to pick your team and recoup the 7 mill on your new contract

Then we have him count for 19 mill against the cap this one year then he’s off for good

i think blake sort of reported the birch thing first yesterday but still glad to see further confirmation. he was perfectly fine last season and fulfilled all the roles we expect out of the position, boards/defends/screens/hustle. if he can get that 3 shot looking a little tighter it'd be a plus.

otherwise, i'm happy to see him back. birch/precious/freddie is totally fine.
