Maybe?

He is on a pretty solid contract with 19m-ish owned over this season and next.
Making under 10m a season and playing 29MPG is a pretty sweet deal for what he brings.

The Spurs are nowhere near the tax and will have a fair bit of cap space this summer so the fiscal relief angle wouldn't work and he isnt blocking the development path for anyone on the Spurs. If he is not part of their immediate plans maybe pick or prospect?

I think an expiring and an FRP is likely where the discussion starts.

Seems about right. I'd consider a lotto protected pick. Not sure if that gets it done though.

Who else thinks raptors will stand pat at trade deadline?

Yes, other than buying out Goran...

Perhaps small trade involving Flynn, svi?

I don't think they will try to move Boucher.. he is their best 5 right now...more consistent than Birch or precious....

Thoughts?

Pretty much.

Anything more than trading dragic for a trade exemption or 2nd round pick would surprise me.

I agree with you guys, it'll likely be small and nothing big. However, I do think they try to move Boucher as well. His low bball IQ still concerns me and he's approaching 30. He's retained some value since the start of the season, but it might drop again.

This won't happen, but just fun to think about. Hawks are rumoured to be pursuing Simmons, here's a hypothetical 3-way trade:

Raps
outgoing: Pascal, Flynn
incoming: Collins, Okongwu, Reddish
Collins can replace Pascal. Okongwu can be another 6'8 center lol, but with potential. Reddish can be our scorer off the bench.

76ers
outgoing: Simmons
incoming: Pascal
Philly gets their all star caliber player that would actually play for the team.

Hawks
outgoing: Collins, Okongwu, Reddish
incoming: Simmons, Flynn
Atlanta gets Simmons, but not sure they're willing to give up all of this.

I know he's 33 and there's no "upside" there, but he seems like a guy who could still provide 25-30 mins of high quality play for another 3-4 years, similar to PJ Tucker or Suns-era Grant Hill. I think he'll get his pick of wherever he wants to play, though.

I dont know if its an organizational thing or just a Bryan Colangelo thing.
There recall there was a lot of static from his camp around the 2008 draft.

Apparently the Raps found something during a workout in Toronto (Heart related I think?) which in hindsight he may or may not have had and the feeling was it cost him several draft spots and he dropped to 25.

Not sure if he would ever come here based on that.

Would be unfortunate since Toronto ended up trading their pick that year anyway

Gary Harris would be interesting too. Coming off a few down years due to injury (partly), but seems like he's rounding into shape these days and only 27. Going to be a UFA, but I can't imagine he'll be due big money. Dragic + a 2nd?

He's made over $150 million since then. I would hope Batum would be over that by now.

Nah. Collins is no Pascal replacement in my books. Oko and Reddish I wouldn't mind through other avenues.

Plus, I'd rather let 76ers keep sweating. I'm not really a fan of Morey, Doc or Simmons so I am enjoying this.

I like the trade for ATL though. I would watch them with Simmons. Interesting fit with Trae. Why not Philly just deal with the Hawks directly and make something happen.

Imo Dragic, Boucher, and Svi are on the table. Flynn and Trent Jr can be had too at the right price. Trent is actually a pretty good piece to move; he most like have 1 m more season with us and I doubt we want to pay him the big bucks. If we can flip him for a young mobile big, that would be nice. OG or Barnes can play the off guard.

CLE gets: Dragic, Boucher, Flynn, Svi
TOR gets: Rubio, Sexton, Davis, Windler

Having the bird rights to Rubio and RFA rights to Sexton could make our team quite a force to be reckon with next season.

Cleveland gets some warm bodies for this years playoffs and Flynn might be a longer term option for them while trading 4 guys who likely don’t have a future with the team.

Starters: Pascal, Barnes, OG, Trent, FVV
Bench: Precious, Yuta, Banton, Sexton, Rubio
Depth: Birch, Wilson, Champangie, Windler, Johnson

If I'm trading Pascal, I want Sabonis or better.

I feel like Masai will do nothing but I listened to a podcast last night speculating Masai is gearing up to trade for a star. There are quite a few stars that could be available and we have good pieces and all
our picks. Simmons, jaylen brown, maybe Anthony Davis or Zion if their teams give up on them. The idea was a major move like when he traded demar.

Kings need to move haliburton or fox. hield was already available. i would be more interested in the TH, and off night. the possibilities between the two teams are many as salaries can match so easy. gtj, ps or even fvv can be used to fleece the kings.

Jaylen Brown is the one I'm paying attention to if the Cs continue their downfall.

I'm still interested in the direction we're heading. It'll probably be a tell come trade deadline if we try to acquire a bench and a situational big C, or acquire young pieces/SRPs with the likes of Dragic/Boucher/Svi/Flynn.

If we are continuing to rebuild, yes the Kings can be a good trade partner. Supposedly, Kings are open to dealing both Fox and Haliburton on the right deal according to this article:
https://clutchpoints.com/sixers-news-ben-simmons-trade-talks-open-to-deaaron-fox-tyrese-haliburton-deal-but-with-a-catch/

Like you, I have less interest in Fox, but if there's an opportunity to get Haliburton + young pieces/picks while help facilitating a 3 team trade, we should look into it.

Uh, just today in a redraft of 2016, Jak went #10. So why would the Spurs, who have him on a team-friendly deal, give him up for a non-lottery pick? What C on the Spurs is gonna replace him?

I'd love the guy back, Pascal would want him back, but there's no chance.
