Based on what Darko said it was a knee to knee play and Scottie is fine. Which is good. Let's see how he is after treatment and a few days off.

Just having a coach that doesn't make a fool of himself on the sidelines day in day out is going to be a relief. Here's hoping the refs take a liking to his disposition too.

there was one close up with darko talking to a ref and the ref was nodding along while darko was talking calmly :o

wish we'd signed gueye to two way in place of harper jr. as i understand it any nba team can sign him even though we got his 905 rights. he's too good to not be signed somewhere over the course of the season.

Nice game by Flynn, 0 turnovers.

the first game will be a good test. the twolves have size with goebert and kat. we'll be without koloko. poeltl will help a bit but we'll be at a disadvantage otherwise. we'll also see how the forward heavy team does against ant.

Just saw the highlights, yeah ball movement compares to last season night and day. You can see the difference in team morale when everyone knows they're a part of the team and they're all working together. So many plays and decisions I've seen so far this year that I wouldn't have seen in similar scenarios last year. Guys actually passing on the break instead of forcing up their own out of control layups.

Dick finally showing why we drafted him. His shooting prowess is gonna be huge for us. Scottie on another level this year. I told you all. Addition by subtraction. There was too much talent on this team to be as bad as we were last season. Darko finally got us playing the way this team always should've been playing. Together.

I didn't even realize we had Justice Wisnlow on an exhibit10.

Wow what a fall from grace. When he aas drafted, he was called a LeBron type player

This team needs to get better at finding Dick when he's open. If he truly is the 3pt marksman we drafted him to be, then they need to be looking for him in every opportunity. The more shots he takes, the more he's going to spread the floor for the rest of the team.

Of course I'm loving what I see from Scottie because he's showing more aggressiveness & the shot seems like it's cleaning up...it's reminding me how Pascal's shot progressed which is exciting af since Scottie's so much stronger to do even more damage around the post & his passing...

I do like Darko's added ball movement BUUUUUT we didn't face any good defensive teams so I think some of you need to pump the brakes on acting like we're set to have a great season. I need to see what it looks like by say mid-season once teams have started to scout the changes we made & the better defensive teams make those jumpers tougher.

Personally I'm still not sold we're a Playoff team...but I'm encouraged.

The on court product last year was one of the worst offerings in the league. It was just gross. The axe did not fall on the coach quick enough.

he's still 27 and good on defense; not sure why we signed him though; maybe depth? how do exhibit 10 contracts work? can they be called up to play with the team?

Just finished watching the game after recording it earlier.

I really hope Scottie's injury isn't anything serious because he looks different this year. Way more assertive and consistent in his effort. He's a beast. And Siakam is looking great as well. That's a pretty solid 1-2 punch.

Other takeaways: Flynn had a very good game, and it wasn't just the made shots. He was actually manipulating the defence with his dribble as a good PG should do, and was staying in front of guys on defence. I've been down on him for a while, and his biggest problem has been consistency, but if he plays like this, he's a solid backup PG.

Finally Gradey. He'll still need time, but he continues to show what he's capable of, and the potential is very clear. And after all of the teeth-gnashing about his shooting, he ended up shooting .466 on threes in the pre-season.

I'm with you that we shouldn't take too much from pre-season scoring, but just to point out that the Bulls actually had a top 5 defence last year. I know, hard to believe, but somehow it's true. So it's not quite accurate to say that we didn't face any good defensive teams.

Hard not to get excited about Scottie’s play. All signs are pointing to a significant leap this year.

Just checking in to apologise to Flynn for his first good game since 2004.

My biggest concern is Scotties ankle, that bothered him the entire year last year. He needs to work with Steph to strengthen them ankles lol

Nurse constantly hyperventalating on the sidelines over unimportant calls became really annoying to watch the last couple years. Can't imagine how the refs and players musta felt. Giving it to the refs for mistakes is needed from time to time but if you're cussing them out on every possession then it loses meaning. Philly fans turning on him by their 3rd game will be funny as hell.

It's crazy to me what an absolute tank Scottie ALREADY is...

He's gonna be borderline Karl Malone like (obv not quite as broad) by the time he hits his prime lol but he even makes OG seem like an average built dude in the league.

If he can learn to keep guys on his hip off the dribble more & lower his shoulder a bit more into them then he could become one of the hardest players to stop in the league.

I think my concern is that we faced teams we were pretty physically dominant over. And not one of them had even an average rim protector. Now we face the Wolves, 76ers, Bucks and Spurs. I know Chicago had a good defence but it was more a positional thing and Caruso was out too. How will we score when the athleticism is more equal? I fear badly despite the improved ball movement.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

According to Samson Folk, our halfcourt offence during these 4 games would still rank among the bottom 5 from last year and that’s with pre season defence. Not ideal or a good indicator.

Good news is that we should be more efficient with our transition opportunities due to Darko trimming the fat and letting Siakam/Scottie/Dennis be the main ball handlers on transition.

No more GTJ smoking lay ups or Precious/Boucher trying to run the fast break with the ball in their hands lol.
