I am always amused at the people who get pissed when their team doesn't pick a guy who is free falling from a draft site projection (in this case Skal). And inevitably the next day they give the best draft grade / accolades to the team that picked the player that fell 15-20 spots. This is just not a Raptor fan thing its across a fairly decent size of fans.

It's as if they lack the logical ability to process that there is a reason a dozen plus NBA executives have passed on that guy

This needs to be a sticky. An authentic wall of shame.

Love it! Brinbe with some horrible takes early on.

I double checked to see if I replied in this thread and couldn't find anything.

What do I know about last 1st round draft picks anyway? In Masai I trust.

I was wrong about him but I changed my stance quite quickly after seeing his progress the next year. lol 26 other NBA teams saw something different as well.

Davis turned out to be so crap, that I don't even know which Davis the first 10 pages are talking about.

This was the dumbest take. BC took Bargnani (admittedly weak draft), picked Ed Davis over larry sanders and Bledsoe, picked Ross over Drummond. His best picks were Demar and JV (both in the top 10).
Masai, before coming to Toronto, had drafted Faried and Evan Fournier with late picks. So BC effed up top 10 picks and Masai nailed picks in the 20s but Masai is the one that's bad at drafting

Passing twice on high-upside plays like Labissiere and Davis is disgusting

When a potential top-10 talent slides, you make the damn pick and worry about the rest later

Even the GODDAMN KINGS had the sense to pick up SKAL with the very next pick (28)...even tho he didn't work out for them either!

You guys finally see what I was talking about?

Either one of these replacement-level player bums woulda won us the series by sitting on the bench.

uhhh, i dont think Skal or davis are better than siakam  . He was a fantastic pick when you consider where he was drafted and what he has developed into, the problem is that we paid him to be something he is not (number 1 option).

There's literally 0, and I mean, ABSOLUTELY ZERO, discussion on if this pick was bad

Who the **** are Davis and Skal, let's not get overboard

Yes he wasn't a bad pick at all, but read some of the comments in this thread saying he was the best pick in the draft because of what he was doing in the regular season. Now with his crappy showing in these playoffs its hilarious.

Maybe he will come back better than ever next year but that's ways away. Also won't mean anything if he shrinks in the playoffs once again.

#1 pick in a redraft for me. Arguably the craziest transformation for development of any nba player. Doing big things off the court as well.

This thread serves as a reminder as to why you should never doubt professionals especially professionals that are proven to be among the best in basketball (even before 2016).

Steal of the draft IMO. Top-15 talent. Maybe top-10 in this draft. Draymond Green like defense and promising offensive game for someone who's basically had 2 years of serious coaching.

Whoever said this in the GB you are incredible and I hope you have a scouting job in the NBA by now
