I find it interesting that ESPN's mock draft has Keon at #6, Bouknight at #17, and Moody at #21. Makes you wonder if they know something that we don't? Taking a closer look at their ranking, I think their mock is based on who they think is most NBA-ready from my suspicion.

How do they determine draft order in those mock drafts? I'm not sure how the Knicks (4th in the East) and Wizards (currently a lock for the play-in tournament) end up with higher picks than us and we end up with the 11th pick. So weird.

The date say April 8. That's prior to the Knicks 8 game winning streak. I think Toronto had the #10 spot.

They used their Power Index rankings at the time.

Note: While it's too early to reasonably predict the 2021 NBA draft order, we've used the latest version of ESPN's Basketball Power Index to help give an early look and show traded picks.

Would not be surprised at being in the Poetl position at 9 and Barnes is there for the taking.

Fixed that for ya bruh.

I'll take my chances with a pick in the top 10. I'd even look to trade up if the option is there.

For every Jakob Poeltl...there is a T-Mac, Kemba Walker, Gordon Hayward, Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudamire, Demar Derozan, Andre Iguodala and Dirk Nowitzki. I'm also high on Rui Hachimura...so if you can get a guy with that potential...that's a solid pick as well.

...and besides...outside of Domantas Sabonis, Caris Levert and Dejounte Murray...I'm not sure who else one might have taken over Jakob at #9. No...Jak isn't the best use of a lottery pick but there turned out to be a lot of duds in the first round of that draft.

He was parlayed into a superstar via trade, that's the best use of a lottery pick short of drafting a superstar.

That would be my main point. The best thing to do is to trade there pick. Anyone other then Cade is going to be 3-4 years away from leading a championship team. We need someone who’s ready now.

This mock is slightly respectable by ranking Tre Mann in the top 20, haven't seen that a lot this year.

Honestly best mock I've seen hands down is this one: https://hashtagbasketball.com/nba-draft/nba-draft-prospects. I think they update their mock once a month. Most of the year they had Tre ranked 12 which was the highest I've seen him ranked other than my own draft board.

Now he shot up their board to 7, so this is by far the most respect I've seen Tre get in any mock. If the Raps pick him at 7-9 I care way less about winning one of the draft lotteries, Tre's gonna be a top 5 player from this class anyways.

Why is Alperen Sengun not getting as much hype as he deserves ? The kid dominating a professional league just like Luka, but all I see is his draft stock late first round or mid first round when to me he is really next best thing if the top 4 guys are gone ..that is Cade, Mobley, Suggs and Jalen Green .. Kuminga is long term project who could either turn out to be All star or bust .. Why is he not top 10 and why is he not Raptors biggest target ..

Sounds like you’re trying to compete in 5 years. Not take down the Nets or Lebron while you have the chance. Not every day you get teams of that caliber to go up against

I think he is 6'10, but I wouldn't worry about height especially 18 year old who still growing. Besides if Boucher was able to play center then 6'10 250 pound Sengun is more then capable of playing the position.

Sengun to me is much safer pick then Kia or even Keon Johnson at the shooting guard. At worst with Sengun you get a center who is absolute beast on the boards and capable of giving you at double digit in points.

Boucher is NOT able to play centre.

So worst (and likely case) is Kanter. That's not good enough. That's not a Raptor player.

What do people see in Jalen Johnson? The guy is a quitter and he looks to be a younger version of James Johnson.

If his floor is Kanter that is not that bad for #9 pick . But I think Sengun is much better prospect then Kanter.
Who is a Raptor player ? I thought drafting the best talent was what got Raptors all these talented overlooked late draft picks and unddrafted players.

Even if Jalen Johnson is good enough prospect, how many combo forwards do raptors need ... two of our best players are combo forwards( Pascal and OG). Drafting Barnes and Jalen Johnson is the worst case scenario for Raptors.

Kuminga is long term project who could either turn out to be All star or bust .. Why is he not top 10 and why is he not Raptors biggest target ..

He has amazing footwork and "post moves", reminds me of Pau in that way. Scoring will not be a problem for him, I like what I see so far.

If that’s a worst case scenario, I can absolutely live with that outcome.

OG, Siakam and another 6’9” combo forward would be huge 2-4.

A lot of ppl here seem to think there's a magic height line that determines whether a player will be viable in the NBA or not, regardless of their ability to play basketball. For instance, if a player is 6'9, they will bust. Period. However, if that same player's neck is slightly longer, pushing the top of their head, which isn't typically relevant in the game of basketball e.g. blocking shots, to 6'10, then - and only then - are they NBA material.

Wingspan would be a better measurement. Standing reach, vertical, etc. can be used for bigs. Weight would be another measurement for C.

His wing span is around 7' which is not bad for center and his weight is also solid for big man around 240's right now as 18 year old, but as he matures he should be around 260 ...
