I always thought OG would be a Raptor for life. It's unfortunate that his last game here could be a game in which he got injured in.

if i feel this bad about it imagine how choked up Masai must be for it to have come to this. trading away his Nigerian Prince without having attained the throne. sucks big time. if only Giannis had followed the script we'd all have such colossal swag right now and Masai would be the true Giant of Africa... :(

also, i can only imagine what Game of Zones would have done with OG on the block

I wanna think it's not too late. Maybe not for Giannis, but keep the current Africans together Masai, pleeez

It's never too late. If Nets can convince KD to stay after KD publicly came out to demand a trade, we can convince OG to stay by trading away the pecking order.

Has OG demanded out? Is there a quote directly from him? All I see is reports that OG is unhappy - which could just be other teams spreading disinformation or exaggerate OG's displeasure to push Masai to trade OG.

I'd have to go back and find it, but I believe there were reports in the off-season that he demanded out. Everything since then has added fuel to the fire. If he is indeed the first one dealt out of the core players you could certainly read into that especially since he is young enough to still be a viable piece of a new core.

The second he dropped his last agent for Klutch.

And may not be multiple reports but just one repeated and retweeted.

Why are the Pels interested, is Ingram still injured? They also have Marshall and Herb Jones.

I could see something with Memphis centered around Aldama and/or Clarke

OK I never saw anyone else post about this, and might be a mis-heard story. But when the second last game ended, not last night, I left the room but tried to still listen as the sports on Sportsnet came on immediately. Eric Smith came on and one of the hosts, Ken read maybe, asked Smith about rumors. I may not have heard clearly from a different room, but I thought he said maybe that OG is unhappy and it may be dealt with by trading him, or may be dealt with by trading a player he doesn't like. There was a bit more to it, and again I couldn't hear it clearly. I assumed he mean OG either wants out, or wants Fred out. Might be a wrong assumption of course. I haven't heard anyone else say that exactly.

Then again I looked on Smith's twitter and all I see is this:
- taking calls
- making calls
- listening to offers

... those, to me, are words to describe what every GM (and/or president) should be doing - in all sports/leagues - every single day.

Mannn, I can't wait for Feb. 9 to come & go.

I read Doug Smith have a similar quote the other day, making fun of all the speculation and saying, deadline can't come soon enough. Like it's not his job to report on the deadline.

I agree. The great Masai should be able to sit down with him and convince OG that we value your defence, we're going to pay you for what you do a year from now, and we want you to stay. Oh and we're getting a real center and a new PG.

They can have Boucher for Clarke. I'd rather have Clarke not shooting 3's than Boucher shooting under 33%.

In my defense The Wire caught on more in the culture after its run ended. And again during the pandemic. And....yeah it's 20 years old.

But the game's the same. Just got more fierce.

Imagine if that phrase was around when you were coming up? How different things might have been.

We had other phrases when I was coming up. Power to the people. Make love not war. Tune in, turn on, drop out.

I think Maxey is better then everyone on our roster other then Scottie. Getting Maxey is amazing for us, and f**ks the sixers.

but do we feel that the return maybe disappointing?

The returns on OG's dancing? Or what he fetches in a trade? Regardless, the answer to both questions is yes. I'm hoping for the best, but I expect our reaction to be "That's all you could get?"

OG will not be moved for a disappointing return.

Return to Toronto Raptors
