Lebron is such a liar. They played in New York that night, he made comments postgame on court how they missed AD and were holding the fort till he got back. Trade announced an hour or so later, but he knew all along. He was just posing to make himself look good, and not be criticized for being willing to lose AD

It’s more likely he ‘knew’ about the trade in that Pelinka gave him a courtesy call right after they finalized it and before it broke, or maybe last minute. Either way, there’s no way they do a trade of this caliber and not let LeBron know.

The way you describe it, how could Lebron push to include Markieff Morris if it was finalized before the courtesy call?

That’s a good point. If LeBron is maintaining he didn’t know about this trade, the only scenario in which he’s telling the truth is one in which he gets a courtesy call and is informed before it goes out to Shams, or isn’t informed at all.

However if it was still in active discussions and gave his input and opinion then yeah. He knew about it, signed off on it, and played an active part in it. Guess he needed to cover his back if that’s the case.

No offense but this sounds completely made up.

The sequence of events it would’ve taken for Marcus Morris to find this out seems improbable.

F*ck the Lakers’ franchise.

So sick of the league just gifting them the best talent for chump change and deals that “conveniently” no one else has access to and they have the nerve to make up all these fake, simple minded “stories of why supposedly they were the “only team” whichever poor franchise losing their superstar wanted to deal with.

I have to bite my tongue and it takes everything in me to not wish an injury on their team but I’d love to see them fail after that (Adam) “Silver” Platter that served up Luka for them.

This guy Nico keeps digging himself a worse hole everyday.

He didn't know that a 25 year old generational talent who made 5 consecutive 1st all NBA teams, led the Mavericks to three conference finals appearances and a finals appearance in his first 6 seasons, had arguably one of the greatest statistical seasons and post-seasons ever, was this loved by the franchise?

Nico just needs to survive the first round. When Lakers are swept or lose 4-1, the narrative could quickly change after LA realizes they're left holding the Luka bag and will never win a chip with him.

Luka just recently took the Mavs to the finals...it's not like he had trouble getting out of the 1st round.

He had a stacked team and his offensive brilliance masked his defensive vulnerabilities.

League is too top heavy with 2 way Juggernauts in Cleveland, Boston, and OKC that would have their way with Luka. None of those teams are going anywhere for the next 3-5 years.

Lol at calling the Mavs a "stacked team". Luka carried that team, they had no business making it to the Finals.

He needs to listen to Chuck's advice. STFU and don't do any more press conferences about the trade. Of course, he could be under directive to take attention from ownership because everyone can probably guess they told him to trade Luka. But damn, it's painful listening to this guy talk so much BS. At least, Jason Kidd had enough pride (and probably financial security) to just quit. You can practically hear Nico Harrison squriming.

If you watch how many plays LeBron takes off, standing near center court or unguarded in the corner, you realize for a lot of the time LeBron is on the floor they are playing 4 against 5.

Luka will not be responsible for them losing in the first round. It will be LeBron.

So much can change in 3-5 years.

I would almost guarantee at least 1, maybe even 2, of those teams are going to be significantly worse and broken up somewhat due to secron apron rules.

Cavs will start this off-season when they will more than likely lose Ty Jerome.

OKC in 2 years when they gotta sign Chet/Williams to max's.

Celtics might not be due to salaries but Jrue/Porzingis/White all are definitely on the regression on the wrong side of 30 and Brown/Tatum are also in their late 20s.

3 years is a long time in the NBA. 5 years the entire landscape will be different. 5 years ago GSW won 16 games. CLE won 18. NYK won 20. MIN won 24.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.
