Congrats to Kemba and UConn - the OT somehow calmed me down.

Kemba and UConn have played their best stints of ball this year during tournaments. In Maui, they ran through Wichita, Michigan St and Kentucky on consecutive nights -- and now they have ran through Georgetown, Pitt, and Syracuse on consecutive nights. I''m not giving them credit for Depaul - they don;t count as a basketball team.

It really shows the heart that he possesses.

As amazing as Kemba was tonight (and certainly a higher profile opponent and game), but Jimmer **** Fredette is somehow one upping him.

33 points in the first 18 minutes of the game. They are not quite at the half yet,

In a game that is setting basketball back about 80 years, Penn St is beating Wisconsin 20-16 (with 18 minutes left to go in the second half)

There are no prospects in the Penn St - Wisconsin game. In fact these players should be banned from professional basketball forever,

22-22, 14 minutes to go.

Penn St 28 Wisconsin 26, seven minutes to go. Gus Johnson just called it a 40 minute sumo match -- I am not even sure what means but it seems appropriate.

Jimmer with 47 points, on 20-33 shooting, with five minutes to go. Interestingly he has not been to the free throw line tonight. Its a lot of difficult jumpers really.

Texas has a key game against A&M tonight, Big games in the first half by Cory and Tristan.

Joseph has 10 points, and Thompson 8 boards (including 5 offensive!)

On 37 shots. Bargs is jealous.

Jimmer is a beast on the college level, no doubt. I think his lack of athleticism and being a combo 1-2 will hurt his NBA potential. He's a volume shooter and would really benefit being a little taller to play at SG and get his shot off.

Jodie Meeks once scored 54 points. He's playing well in Philly. If Jimmer can follow suit then that would be solid. Nbadraft.com projects Fredette to be a lottery pick. That seems crazy to me. Meeks was drafted in the middle of the 2nd round.

Jimmer can probably be a Reddick..volume scorer of the bench that can shoot 3's well...which isn't necessarily that bad, but not lottery pick material imo

Comparign Jimmer at BYU to Jodie at Kentucky shows lack of understanding of the college landscape in those years.

I agree he is not lotto, but he is not a second rounder to me either. He would seem right in the 15-25 range.

Jimmer is alot better then Jodie Meeks ever was at Kentucky and he makes his team alot better - remember that Meeks was volume shooting on an NIT Team. Fredette was leading a team to a 1 or 2 seed, until he got Mormoned.

You would probably use the Meeks argument for Steph Curry as well if he was entering the draft this year out of Davidson/

I'm not sure there's anyone better in this draft that can create his own shot as well as Jimmer. His efficiency combined with the degree of difficulty of his shots is just outrageous. Also his range is ridiculous, pull-up 30 footers that are all net. I think he can definitely carve out a nice niche in this league as a Ben Gordon type player.
