As far as MIami's wing players go;
There is something to be said about if they can retain Caleb Martin in the summer who has played around 22MPG and shot 41% from 3 or not.

He stepped in to spot start for Butler during the season and certainly contributed more than some of their bench guys, if he bolts I am not so sure they look to move another bench piece.

Yeah the question is if the 3pt shooting is for real. 6th in volume on the Heat (per 36) for 3s and is under 70% from the FT line for his career. 36% from 3 and 72% from the line in college though, so that's not so bad.

LAC just resigned Covington to 2yrs -24mill

They're looking at around 55mill in luxury tax.
Anyone on their roster worthy of us taking for financial relief. We're also over the cap but kinda far from the tax.

That's the deal we should give Boucher as well. 2yrs-24 or 3yrs - 33

They don't care about the tax.

They won't trade him especially not now since he learned how to play defense.

He's their franchise player.

FVV to NYK for Noel, Kemba, #11

Gets a backup C rim protector who fits our ethos. Kemba is basically this year's Dragic. Draft Eason with their pick. Sign Porter with some/all of the MLE.

Only player I like around #11 would be Tari Eason.

That Pascal-Klay thread was appropriately locked and linked to here.
But I still think anybody that suggests that trade in the first place, should have been banned from the site immediately.

What do people know about Ibou Dianko Badji? 7'1 240lbs from Senegal. Reminds me of Samuel Dalembert. Could be a masai pick.

Hes all over the place. Not a very good player aside from the size and athleticism. Koloko has the same size and length and is a much better player.

That would be one expensive 6th man. Granted, only 1 year left on his deal.

Yeah but if the minutes look like this:

-33 each on average for the 5 starters from this year playing solid but less insane minutes
-Achiuwa at 27 (up from 24)
-Boucher at 20

that leaves 28 minutes a night for a 6th man like Russell or another scorer type.

This sort of configuration makes more sense if:
A) Barnes comes back bigger and seems like he's more of a 4.5 than a 3.5 positionally
B) We draft a young center at #33 like Koloko, or get one via the BAE or trade exception

I'm not really a Russell guy per se, but someone a bit better off the ball as a scorer with the other flaws he has would still interest me.

Coach wants shooting and defensive versatility. One guy to keep an eye on is Caleb Houstan, Scottie Barnes former teammate at Montverde academy. He underperformed at Michigan which may make him available.

What type of contract do you guys think Donte DiVincenzo is gonna get?

I think he can be Tyler Herro 2.0 off our bench. He might be looking to be a starter though so I don't know. But I think he would be a great fit for this club.

A Combo Guard with Size and Shooting ability. Can he be had with the MLE?

Rfa
Kings traded Bagley for him, so probably want to keep him even though he didn't play that well for them.

Donte was someone I thought of the other day as well.

He could provide some much needed athleticism/slashing ability at the guard spot, but yes being a RFA makes it tricky. It is the Kings though, so you never know :D.

You cant just sign a white guy and then boom hes your Tyler Herro 2.0. Tyler is a baller man.

I think there's like a 1 in 4 chance that Max Christie can get there a few years after Herro if he develops well, and might be around at 33, but yeah, Herro can shoot and score with nice length for a 2. DiVincenzo is white, but he's not a good shooter (did seem like he would be out of Villanova) and plays much better D.
