Darko grew all these kids in 5 months. Crazy to see

We should probably fire him, apparently he's a bad coach.

+Vince

He put up monster numbers in his second year - 26/6/4.

He's clearly talking about recent history, or at least the Masai era.

Do you only use the sample size arguement when it favors you? :-?

Except TRoss is neither recent or drafted by Masai, clearly.

Beyond that being what I assumed was a very obvious joke, I have been saying since the first thread was made last year about how we should fire him, that he needs time to grow as a coach, and to show the impact he's having on our players.

Gradey has been on an upward trajectory since like Feb of last year, he's been improving, Darko has been the coach since then. This is not definitive proof he is worth keeping around as yes, it's only one player, and not even a full year of production, but this is what we call a "Leading indicator".

Same way RJ's performance from last year is a leading indicator, but nothing is definitive. Hence the reason I wouldn't call for firing Darko now, nor trading RJ. Nuance is a thing that exists, not everything is binary.

I guess time flies. Scary to think that TRoss was drafted 12 years ago.

But there's another 14 year gap between TRoss and VC.

I have a feeling there might be a lot of crow eating with this pick.

But let's be honest, no one say this, this quickly.

Kids a star holy crap. Season is a success already. Sucks we won’t get a super high pick though but that’s the trade off.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

How much of a backseat does he take once everyone is healthy? He’s looking like a future number 1 option out there.

He struggled a bit down the stretch when the Nuggets zeroed in on him like he was Ray Allen. But that was a good thing in the long run. Teams view him as a threat and he's going to have to respond to that.

Also he runs absolutely non stop. Great awareness on the court that led to his steals and blocks.

Ceiling looks quite a bit higher than Klay Thompson at this point.

So glad I was on the right side of "is Gradey a bust" talk.

I said in the GDT....imaging if JKW has a similar development arc!

Apparently second year players don’t get much consideration for the award. But if Gradey continues to play this way, how can you possibly ignore him?

To put that into context Gradey would have to be so good, he beats out Wemby. Though the moment Wemby's offense picks up it's most likely his to lose.

One thing that could work out to his benefit is he only averaged 8.5 ppg last year so it's possible he could have the highest statistical leap.
