There isn;t anyone else with big cap space that is going after Ingram this summer. Washington took themselves out of that market when they took on Marcus Smart's contract for a late first round pick this year. I thought Memphis swindled Washington. Basically, Washington bought one of the last picks in the first round for $40 million in future salary. It's going to be a long process in Washington.

My advice to people is don't get too attached to any of the players besides Scottie, because as the team improves, watch Masai look to package assets to get bigger fish. If Masai could upgrade to a franchise point guard, I'd say IQ won't be here until the end of his contract.

I'd still like to see a big power forward - a Banchero comp - to add physicality. I'm feeling certain the league is going to make adjustments to reduce the heavy over-reliance on three point shooting, and that BI's mid-range and Scottie's post work are going to be more important than ever moving forward. A big C or PF might certainly spell the end of Poeltl.

This is just the beginning. Masai likes to take big risks and as the asset base grows, he's not going to be shy about using young talent to get even better young/youngish talent.

Ingram right now is making 35 million. He was asking for a contract from the Pelicans that would pay him 50 million AAV. The guy’s not taking a pay cut so what we end up paying him will be between 35 and 50 so yeah people need to get ready for that. This is literally his last big pay day since he’ll be 28 at the start of next season. If posters actually want Ingram and aren’t just coping there should be no problem paying him…..

Yeah man, totally have that former second pick, that we already waived. Players and what position they were picked at 5-9 years ago doesn't mean squat. BI and RJ have both underperformed historically speaking for their draft position. BI less so, but still not by much.

But hey, if draft position is all that matters, why not give Anthony Bennett a call, he was a 1st OA, should make us a better team.

I believe in this group with Ingram. Unlike when they had Fred Siakam OG, there's enough fire-power to make a post-season run.

Tank away this season for a top 5-10 pick, upgrade a few role players in the summer, and Raps will be a 4-5 seed next year.

I guess it'll be a good problem to have.

In that scenario, my guess would be we do something like RJ for some random backup big who can shoot a little, like John Collins/Vucevic/Zach Collins/Grant Williams (basically Olynyk) to balance things out and we might need to save some money to get under the tax. Add a pick if you thin kwe'd get one.

Have a lot of depth, so consolidate. You can easily give Luke Kornet the MLE, as Boston unlikely matches.
