What is this supposed to even mean lol he was a 22/10 player on a winning team.

Yeah I don't get that sentiment by Dagger. Bosh was a legit all-star and the only other 4s posting similar numbers at the time were LMA and Garnett

His advanced numbers were more impressive than even Carters (not that I'm insinuating he was better)

I was at the Knicks game, and I was incredibly impressed by the passing, shot selection, and rebounding. Derozan and Ross are making big shots and taking the right shots, Val was dominating the boards most of the game and looking like the big man we want and need, Lowry was playing like a bulldog, Vasquez hit two big 3's back to back, Patterson was making the midrange shot with ease.

The team looked really great, I know the Knicks are a wounded animal but still they looked good.

HOWEVER, I ROLL WITH THE tWo and I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS. YES WE LOOK GREAT, BUT ALL THIS IS LEADING UP TO IS A 1ST ROUND EXIT TO INDIANA OR MIAMI. I CAN NOT BE FOOLED AGAIN.

This winning streak will really test who is with the tWo or who is with the anti-tank. I'm still with the tWo and am hoping for better tanking days.

The. ****.

This is turning into my nightmare season. I remember 2006-2007 when we won the Titanic division and teams all around us had injury problems or were tanking for Oden/Durant, I was cheering for the playoffs that year. But we had a legit young stud to build around in Bosh and I had bought into the Bargnani=Young Dirk talk early in his career, so I didn't think a high draft pick was needed necessarily to help the rebuild.

This feels different though. I had mentally prepared myself for being a bottom 6 team this year and was as excited to watch college hoops as I've been in a long time. I wasn't a Wiggins or bust guy, so seeing Parker and Randle and Smart rip it up early in the season was fun. Seeing Embiid come out and make a case for the #1 pick only increased my excitement for the draft. Making the playoffs because every other team around us is either tanking or exploding with bad luck/injuries isn't encouraging. For some reason this year we are healthier than we've every been and have had no bad injuries to deal with. Getting the 4th seed with a below ,500 record wouldn't win us respect in NBA circles, it'd only show the league how pathetic the Titanic division really is. Every team below us would love to finish 5th so they could face the Raptors instead of the Pacers or Heat. I honestly think we'd lose to the Bobcats or Wizards in round one, and then Casey will be extended and Lowry will walk as a free agent and we'd be forced to go forward with a Derozan-led team since you can't blow up a division winner! Or worse, use our capspace on a middling FA like Deng or Granger to try and push forward. And then we see Orlando or Philly land Parker/Wiggins/Embiid and move ahead of us in a few years and then looking back wondering why the team wasn't more pro-active in trying to secure a bottom 6 spot.

I woke up today and accepted the Raptors aren't going to tank this season. We put up a good fight but the powers that be don't see eye to eye with us. We've seen this story before in 2006-2007, hopefully we have a different ending.

And if it doesn't ... we have a long 5 years with Ujiri.

Not me. I won't be sticking around for another 5 that's for sure.

Lowry

Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

As a non tanker, currently, I would accept the need to tank in certain circumstances. For instance if the Raps could net solid returns in trades for DD, KL and Amir. If they can't and the competition to tank is too fierce then I support being opportunists and trying to improve by selectively adding talent. I am not married to either option and I do not get the the mind numbing rigidity of fans who think they know what's best, in every circumstance, with absolute certainty, and with blinders firmly in place that there simply are no other options.

I can see it now: Masai will continue building around BC's core by overpaying Lowry and spending the rest of his cap space on a B level free agent that help this team take the next step into becoming the treadmill Atlanta hawks.

He's probably trying to recreate DEN just as his MENTOR Colangelo tried to recreate PHX...

We know how that turned out and pray that history doesn't repeat itself.

Although leaving a 50W team, EOY and Atlantic division champions of a meaningless year have an all too familiar ring to it...ffs this better not play out anywhere near the same; show BC to just be the false prophet lol

Hawks or Bucks  , if we become a identical team I think MU definitely deserves to be fired.

No worries. Apparently Wiggins will come here in 2021 because we won an Atlantic division title in 2014 with 40 wins.

I'm legit baffled.

We are so bad.

But the East this season... THE EAST IS HISTORICALLY GOD AWFUL. WE ARE THE THIRD BEST TEAM IN THE EAST. HOW.

We will probably be buyer's at the trade deadline. JV, Ross and the pick should be available in order to bring us to the promised land this year. Might bring us top assets like Nash and Gasol in return.
Go for it and watch the treadmillers wet themselves with joy.
