Jonas got two "fouls". You'd think Lithuania was playing against the Nets or something.

Ya, the second foul was a little suspect and it seems that the referees were determined to give him that foul.

That 2nd one was one of the most phantom fouls I've ever seen

LTU's depth is unbelievable. They will slowly pick apart mediocre teams like Mexico apart. And the bench unit is more enjoyable than 1-on-1 isos with JV and Dmo

The three point shooting has helped keep Lithuania in this game. They still have another gear to reach in order to take this game over, with or without Jonas. They just need to hurry up and take Mexico out of this game.

Really nice stretch from LTU. Our strength is that we don't really depend on any one player

Jonas played 0 minutes in the 2nd quarter, and I'm completely fine with that. He didn't play not because he sucked, but because the refs gave him two really horrible foul calls, so I guess their coach just decided to play it safe and unleash Jonas in the 2nd half. In the first he was dominating Ayon offensively. When they tried to post him up, JV almost always got himself right underneath the rim, which resulted in him scoring or being fouled. Also, he hit a mid range jumper again! Of course it was after he pumpfaked, but still, he hit it! The next time when he was standing in pretty much the same position with the same amount of space available, he still pumpfaked, which resulted in Ayon not giving a crap, and then he just passed it back. Defensively Ayon was shut down and I think the only time he got scored on it was after pretty good post defense.

Jonas will be unleashed in the second half and he will wreck havoc on the Mexican team.

Again, Jonas had a really nice 3rd quarter. Even though he only scored 2 points, he looked really good. He doesn't force his offense, if he's double teamed in the post, he passes it out. He had a beautiful assist to D-Mo, who was waiting under the basket for the pass. Also, he had a huge block on some Mexican player.

JV is good on offense today, but kinda being lazy of the defensive end.
