My hot take is if we keep 6 or in that range and draft Dalton Knecht, I think he will win Rookie of the Year. He could start for Toronto because physically he is ready to play NBA minutes and we are not going to be too harsh on defensive mistakes (he needs to improve there but physically I don't see large red flags).
In less of a primary role he can still be a floor spacer and attack closeouts and do it efficiently. I don't see why he couldn't score close to 20 PPG if given starter minutes. Obviously his usage will drop off, but he going to be a favorite outlet for Barnes and Barrett on kick outs.
He basically went from unknown to nearly leading the SEC in scoring and being a Naismith winner. That was in his first year with a team. I mentioned it in a long post before, but if anyone projects as the next Jalen Williams (upper classmen who becomes a star), it is Knecht. His combo of physicality and scoring is pretty rare given his FTR, dunks and threes.
