The Spurs' desire to add to its frontline became apparent on the day before the NBA Draft, when I first reported that San Antonio was chasing Kristaps Porzingis before Boston agreed to send the 7-footer to Atlanta.

Now the Spurs, league sources say, are looming as a prominent landing spot for big men on the free agent market as well.

Spurs could use the MLE on Kornet and the BAE on Yabusele to add much needed frontcourt depth behind Wemby

if it happens, investigate them for tampering and confiscate their 2nd round pick!

just a reminder that last season, we surveyed the free agents this summer and felt the most attainable guy that helps the team was brandon ingram. it was a pre-agency move. we still are trying to get better but that was the big move for next year. that was the strategic acquisition.

Free agency begins tomorrow at 6PM. Not many big names nor do many teams have more than the MLE and yet I'll still be F5ing my Windows 95 lol.

The best deal I see us getting for RJ is Monk and Keegan Murray. That's if Sac sees him as their future 3.

I would hate to be a kings fan. Are they going to keep DeMar and Lavine?

Do the Raps need to shed $3 million of salary to end up under the tax? When are the tax lines finalized for the upcoming season?

If Lawson and Castleton get cut (both are non-guaranteed), they currently project to be under the tax. But that's if they add no one else, after signing Temple, and use the minimum salary for Martin, and ride with 14 guys.

Taxes are finalized on the final day of the season - but it's generally a bad idea to enter a season in the tax if the intent is to end it outside of it. Easiest time to make that happen is before the season starts, and trying to do so in-season just means other teams see you as a target to extract assets from.
