They are very similar offensively but he might struggle to score if his shots are off in a game, even though he has good floaters but he cant really penetrate at will tho due to his average ball handling, whereas for Gordon idk why but he can always get any shots off anytime he wants. But I see Beal doing alot better in other areas such as rebounding, passing and defending. I like Beal too and he really fits our system well in terms of shooting touch with all around skillset.

I ve been calling Beal since day 1. We are not top 5 in draft 2012. Bradley Beal is the deal

I would be ecstatic if we could manage to nab MKG and a Kabongo.

I'd imagine Beal would come off the bench in his rookie season, behind DeMar, our SF (either JJ or Wilson Chandler).

But, he'd find himself still getting a lot of minutes, particularly in the fourth quarter. Maybe, our PG, Beal at 2, DeMar at the 3, JJ or Chandler at the 4, Bargnani at the 5.

With Beal, we'll have bolstered our asset base, because if he plays well, and DeMar plays like he's capable of, we'll be dealing from a position of strength with other teams.

More amateur scouting by fans... oh no!
He's still a top 5 pick and player in this draft. I'm not really concerned at all.

I think MKG still growing as a player offensively, he does have some mature moves (in & out, and protects the ball with his body) but its true he will always have problems creating for himself but in Caseys system where theres lots of screens and p&r, including a guy like Val who loves pick & roll...I think that will help MKG to excel in where hes at his best - slashing fearlessly. And MKG has high bbiq too, Im sure he will find lots of ways to score points, his expertise in other areas (rebounding, passing, and defending) are too good to ignore, too good to pass in the draft. Those things he does can really impact the game in so many ways and in BIG ways too. We have Bargs as 1st option on offense, possibly a good veteran point guard and we just need demar to be a consistent player...for MKG if hes on our team, he will do everything else to help the team, also his charisma and leadership are also a plus for this team too. If we have the 5th pick, he is most definitely the guy I want and he seems like hes casey's guy too.

MKG is arguably my second favourite player in the draft (although I don't know if I'd call him the 2nd best prospect). Has Casey commented on MKG, or are you just speculating that he sounds like a Casey type of guy?

Yikes, not a fan of Beal.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

If we are 6-7th pick we should trade maybe Ed or Amir to move up to 3rd to get Barnes. He is what we need.

I think MKG is probably the only player who will contribute right away in so many areas of the game. I wouldn't mind taking him with a pick outside of top 5 or even top 3 at this moment.

that draft board is steely-infected, and this board goes downhill when steely comes in to go all out on his PJ3 fetish.

Nope, Casey hasn't commented on any draft prospect but Casey's the kind of guy who values defense as if it was his 2nd son or something. And you know how MKG has big pride on "defense" so that prolly is a trait that Casey likes(?) Although idk how Casey feels about players with all around skills. I know BC loves the notion of "versatility" so BC might like him too.

They have Lamb at #12 now. I highly doubt he actually ends up available there, but if it looks like he is I would seriously look into trying to acquire another late lotto pick (if our own isn't around there). Maybe if we can get late picks for Jose/Barbosa, and attach them to Ed. Or just help out a team looking for capspace, like the Nets if they'll give up that lotto protected Rockets pick (currently #14)

Picking up Jeremy Lamb at 12 would be a dream come true. I honestly don't see him dropping that far. He might project that low, but he'll be picked much higher imo.
