Kuminga hasn’t played any meaningful minutes in these finals. Imagine having a guy like OG out there to defend Tatum/Brown? This is a 5-6 game series win if they had OG.
Only team not doing this is us. People have a tendency to overrate prospects. This league is all about winning. You have one of the best guards of all-time in Steph. You try to take advantage of that. If you can just plug in an elite 3+D player with the skills to put up 20ppg into your lineup you do it.
Curry isn’t getting any younger. They don’t want to look back 10 years from now thinking they could’ve won a couple more championships but didn’t because they had Kuminga and Wiseman buried at the end of their bench. Lol.
I don't get the people underselling OG at all. Even if he's not a star, he's an extremely valuable young player on a good contract. Every team in the league could fit OG into their lineup, is Kuminga really the best they can do? I'm not sold that he has that much more upside than OG. If the Raptors wanted to reset the timelines based on Scottie, it would make more sense to move Siakam, not OG.
