Andre Iguodala with TPE?

Post#1121 » by gregdj » Mon Jul 12, 2010 7:11 pm

Just wanted to inquire on this guy... is he still available? can we use tpe and expirings on him?

Put Demar, Sonny and Beli at SG and Iggy, Kleiza and Diaw at SF.

What are the chances of getting this guy right now?

PG: Jack, barbosa
SG: Demar, Weems, Beli
SF: Iggy, Diaw, Kleiza
PF: Amir, Davis, Dorsey
C: Bargs, Chandler, Alabi

If we are going for a star player, why not Iggy? This roster looks pretty nice right now...

Dont want him, another bosh like player, will get his stats but not help his team. his team was worse than the raptors last year.

IMO a little overrated, we have too many above the rim players now, a little overpaid. We need a play maker (PG) and a point-forward ... I guess we kinda addressed that with Diaw. This is just short term though, in the long term if we are keeping both Weems and DeRozan I don't see where Iggy fits in unless we dropped one.

just posting this again to run the exact numbers to make sure it works.

Toronto Sends:
Tyson Chandler $12,600,000
Marcus Banks $4,847,586
Miami 2011 1st Round Pick

Toronto Gets:
Kenyon Martin $16,545,454
Ty Lawson $1,546,560

* salary absorbed through TE but we get it right back.

Minnesota Trades:
Al Jefferson $13,000,000

Minnesota Gets:
Tyson Chandler $12,600,000
Miami 2011 1st Round Pick

basically get a real center to put beside Beasley/Love and get a pick.

Denver Trades:
Kenyon Martin $16,545,454
Ty Lawson $1,546,560
= 18,092,014

Denver Gets:
Al Jefferson $13,000,000
* Trade exception created (5,092,014) to absorb Marcus Banks $4,847,586

***** Marcus Banks $4,847,586 absorbed through the TE created

Jack / Lawson / Brown (signed minimum from summer league)
Derozan / Barbosa / Belinelli
Klezia / Weems
Diaw / Davis / Dorsey
Bargnani / Johnson / Alabi

+ K-Mart whos injured.

pretty solid young team, can get out and run, shoot the 3, defend a bit and has a future.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Wouldn't we have to wait until December until we would be able to trade Tyson Chandler with other players?

love the tradeable assets that BC has recently aquired, i can see BC making a play for CP3 no explanation needed there, and Rubio since he was reported to want to play for toronto last year.

Only issue I have w/ CP3 and that probably goes with most American superstars, is I can see CP3 bolting after a couple years. As for Rubio, I did hear that he wanted to come to T.O, I still think BC's philosophy is good, we should bring in more Global players and try to to attract players around the world, this will be our best chance at trying to compete at least and foreign players wouldn't mind living in a comsopolitan city like T.O.

Q: so realistically, what are the chances of us landing a young PG like Rubio? slim to none or really good? what else do we have to give up to acquire hime, just TPE?

I believe we have enough assets to obtain rubio, we're quite loaded on the PF position plus we also have TPE + Picks. Other Things worth to note is I remember BC saying that he wants to land a real starting PG while getting rid of either calderon or jack. Wolves seems to be loaded with the PG position w/Flynn + Ridnour. There were rumours that Rubio didn't really want to play in minnesota, also heard him say that Toronto would be the destination he'd like to play for. I just wouldn't be surprised if B.C would make the call to see what would it take, he fits perfectly with our system.

To New Orleans:
Ed Davis, TPE, 1st round pick(Mia)
To Toronto:
Darren Collison, James Posey

Raptors overpay and take on a bad contract to get the PG they desperately need to run their new team for a long time.

New Orleans gets cap relief and a promising big man in Davis

Raptors waive:
Marcus Banks

Raptors sign:

Joey Dorsey
Bobby Brown

Roster:
C- Chandler/A.Johnson/Alabi
PF- Bargnani/Diaw/Dorsey
SF- Kleiza/Weems/Posey
SG- Derozan/Barbosa/Belinelli
PG- Collison/Jack/B.Brown

It's becoming more evident that Chris Paul might be actually more available than Collison. Also I want to see how Chandler plays with our team.

Apparently one of the verbal terms of DLee's deal in GSW is that Elllis and Beans stay put, so those guys are a dead cause imo.

To PHI: Thabeet + 5 mil TPE + 2011 Raps pick
To Mem: Iguodala + 2011 Mia pick
To TOR: Mayo + Mem 2nd

Hey guys, loved the trade we pulled off today. Since we're low on c's, I think this deal is fair for both sides:

To Raps: Gortat

To Magic: Beli+Banks

Im pretty sure the Magic will be trying 2 cut down on salary, so i think this deal will be perfect 4 them, for the raps, Gortat would be the perfect backup big 4 the Raps, especially when Chandler goes down.

Jack/Barbosa/FA
DD/Weems
Klieza/Diaw
Bargs/Davis/Johnson/Dorsey
Chandler/Gortat/Alabi

All we need now is a good pg. Still dont know what 2 do wit the pfs, but i think BC will think of something.... :D

Have the pick details from the Bosh sign-and-trade been released yet? Is it Miami's 2011 and 2013 first round picks?

I promise I'll stop posting over here if you guys stop pretending that Rubio is 'attainable'
:)
He's not. We are building our team around him.
Cp3 is more available, go pick on the hornets ;)

We' will certainly trade you Ramon Sessions, he is available.
