Tyson Chandler is not better than Drummond. He absolutely sacked this year. I wouldn't take Dwight over him either.
I do agree he's not top 5. I have him around top 7 or 8 personally

Theres no doubt you'd take KAT.

This place is insufferable.

There is exactly 1% chance for this pick to turn into a top 3 pick. Hmmm.

If Brown falls Masai needs to take him and run like he stole something.

There is really no reason for him to stay another year unless he intends to finish school. Rabb is a lotto pick and pretty much every board and could move up higher after workouts. If he doesn't enter the draft, I think Masai should just draft BPA and if it's not a PF he can make a trade for someone like Lyles on Utah.

I'm not really a big fan of Rabb but I wouldn't be disappointed if we got him. He has a high floor but I'm just not sure his ceiling is that high. Right now he's basically Sabonis with better length and slightly better athleticism. Right now I'm leaning towards Davis who has similar size and length, better athleticism, and could be an elite rim protector at the PF. Rabb has more polish but Davis has the better raw tools. The only thing I'd want to know about Davis is about his drive, more, and makeup. We know Rabb has these in spades, so if there's no red flags in that area then Davis is my guy.
If we're going pure upside then I'm going Skal, who might be immature but has #1 pick physical tools and skills. He could be the Drummond or Turner of this draft.

This reminds me of the hope we get Capela discussion. Bruno who? I do not trust draft.net and express seems odd this year as well.
I thought draft.net might be more credible this year until I read Luwawu in the second round and Davis at 15.
Notable. Hield at 3. Sabonis at 7. Rabb 8. Jaylen Brown 9. Korkmaz 11. Davis 15. Thon Maker 28. Cat Barber 29. Luwawu at 33?

With Brown declaring, Rabb wont be far behind him. Just my opinion.

Malike Beasley has a sweet stroke and great size. To bad he's only 6'4". We really don't need another gaurd unless we trade Ross.

Jackson is my pick. I think he's BPA. He's limited bust potential and also has potential to improve a lot as well.
Also, he can pair up with Delon Wright with Wright guarding 2's and Jackson guarding 1's.

I certainly don't do as much scouting as most in this thread so can someone tell me why Denzel Valentine isn't rated higher?
Great shooter with range, Rebounds, Passes and looks like a glue guy. I think a few teams will regret passing on this guy. How would everyone feel with him as our pick at 9?

Read his DX profile. Basically, terrible defender, and had difficulty against bigger, longer wing defenders that are rare in college but more common in the NBA. I'm sure the fact he's a senior doesn't help.

Plz take Skal. He'll be available. He fits the bill of potential + need. I was watching some clip where the announcer said he skipped his sr yr of high school? What's that about?

Maybe he just has a high IQ and didn't need the Sr year.

Re: Thank Nation! Pre-Lottery: Denver 9th, NY pick 7th (PART 4)
Hi everyone! In 2014 I decided for fun to make my own calculation/program to determine a player's activeness on the court. This means I take offence--FGM, FGA, assists, drawing fouls, etc--, defence--blocks, steals, etc--, negatives--turnovers, commiting fouls, etc--and then calculate a rating. AP I call it.
Last year I solely focused on the Raptors.
AVERAGE AP
TOP 5: Valanciunas (11.77), Lowry (10.5), DeRozan (9.34), A. Johnson (7.46), J. Johnson (5.73)
BOTTOM 5: Bruno (-1.13), Stiemsma (0.29), Nogueira (0.67), Ross (1.45), Fields (1.65), Hayes (1.71)
AVERAGE AP PER MINUTE
TOP 5: Valanciunas (0.45), Hansbrough (0.32), Lowry (0.30), J. Johnson (0.29), A. Johnson (0.28)
BOTTOM 5: Bruno (-0.39), Ross (0.06), Stiemsma (0.08), Vasquez (0.12), Nogueira (0.18)
This year I was planning on doing the whole NBA season, but unfortunately life got in the way. I have made methods and functions but I still have to work on handling transactions--waived, signed, traded, etc..
Unfortunately I could not spend that much time collecting data so I decided instead to focus on the NCAA March Madness tournament. I just want to say this is just a small sample of data, and yes I know you can never tell how good a player will potentially be, especially on data analysis. And YES I am aware some players would have played 1 game in the tourney and all the foreign players are not ranked and some good players had bad games while some bad players had good games. Just sharing if you care.
