He missed a few bunnies and all his threes but he grabbed 7 boards, picked up 3 steals and drew 2 charges so he was at least active out there.

absolutely....the game is still too fast for him and he looks a bit rushed but I get the same vibes from him that I saw from fred his first year..he's going to be a good player for us...the shot will come around....just got to give it a bit of time.

If he misses and making shots is what will keep him in the NBA how can he look good? 1-8 looks good? You could put Reggie Miller out there now and he'd look comfortable too.

I don't think there's been a single player in the NBA that has looked as bad as him and succeeded. I know he's still young but there is a very high probability he's out of the league after his rookie contract is over. It would be sooner if not for the front office hoping they he can redeem them of their poor selection.

Of course maybe he'll prove me wrong with his motor, defense or hidden athletic talent. He's definitely shown signs of elite potential in each of these categories.

Can Whitmore has that fire and Alpha mentality. Dick just doesn't have that dog in him, Whitmore is also bigger, stronger, more athletic and guess what a far better SHOOTER than Dick. Webster and the Raptors scouts in charge of drafting this kid should be FIRED.

Personality concern

Darko has had way too many players underperforming to rate anyone properly. Look at how his coaching is making Jalen look? Zero confidence, looking like a euroleague player(and that is even disrespecting that league!)

Team 6'9 hated Whitmore because he doesn't have long arms or big hands



His age, pro-ready frame, Villanova pedigree and this chart were good indicators to bet on his game. His spot up shooting and cutting alone should have established a floor that was end of lottery-worthy along with the flashes of being able to bully people on his way to the hole. Also solid stocks and rebounding.

I guess we'll see if those "character concerns" which haven't been disclosed ever materialize.
