Yes, I wasn't trying to correct you, just adding the numbers for ease of reference.

Gradey will never come close to having the impact Klay had on defense so that needs to be considered. Offensively he has more well rounded offensive game but Klay is still the better shooter right now (41% for his career + probably a top 5-10 sniper of all time). Let's pump the brakes a little bit. To say that is ceiling is quite a bit higher than Klay is recency bias because Klay was an all-star 3+D guy in his prime.
You may want to go take a look at what Klay was doing at Gradey's age. It wasn't this. Wasn't even close to this.
Klay didn't start looking even close to the player he became until his 3rd year at age 23 while playing with one of the best players in the history of basketball.

"Ceiling looks quite a bit higher than Klay Thompson at this point." Your initial sentence sounds like you're saying "Gradey's ceiling is higher than the level of prime Klay". I believe what you were intending to say is that Gradey's ceiling right now appears higher than Klay's would have been early in his 2nd season. Is that right? I am not going to argue with that statement because honestly I didn't watch enough Klay early on.
We can't just ignore the defensive side of the ball in this argument. I can't imagine Klay would have been worse than Gradey defensively. Whether he's overated or not defensively. Maybe he wasn't an all-world defender but he was at least a good defender. Gradey is at best a poor defender atm. Likely between very poor-poor. I hope Gradey can eventually become close to an average defender so he doesn't get hunted every possession like he does now. Honestly the fact that we're having this discussion is a huge positive in the development of Gradey.
