Looking at the Rockets options in the Giannis trades with Fred's contract

This would be more where Dame is sent along with Giannis there (leaving that other piece of the trade out of it).

For the Magic this is a cap and roster cleaner before Paolo's extension that gets them back a shooter too. The Bucks get guys who'll play on a team that may still not have their own pick next year along with the draft capital.

The Raptors gotta be a dark horse for Giannis right?

If they get a non cooper pick, they should look into it. The way the league looks in the playoffs this season, to win you need one super star and a lot of depth around them. The Raptors have a perfect number 2 in Ingram and depth in Barrett Quickley Shead Dick Walter Abaji

The deal could go like this

To Milwaukee
2026 Bucks 1st returnee
2027 bucks 1st returnee
Poetl
Scotty Barnes

Milwaukee out
Giannis

Bucks get a young cornerstone and can tank it out the next 2 seasons to rebuild.

To New Orleans
Raptors 1st 2025

New Orleans out
2025 and 2026 bucks swaps cancelled

The pelicans get a bird in the hand in a top 7 pick rather than swapping for the Bucks picks.

To Toronto
Giannis

Toronto out
Scotty
Poetl
Toronto 1st 2025

The Raptors could then sign Bobby Portis to the MLE and then trade a 1st/abaji sign and trade for Jabari Smith

Smith JR/portis
Giannis/mogbo
Ingram/battle
Barrett/dick
Quickley/shead/walter

This team could certainly compete for the East for years to come.

With Dallas winning the lottery (that Luka trade makes a little more sense now haha) and taking Cooper. They have to trade one of there centers right? I guess they'll start him at the 3 and finish games with him at the 4 and Davis at the 5?

No it's not, we need a PG stop gap or prospect untill Kyrie is back. And it wouldn't be lively we would be moving, we'd move Gafford before lively. Or maybe we stay big and move PJ for a PG

"closer" is basically going from 0% to 0.5% or something along those lines

Gradey hasn't done anything that would elicit a team actively trying to trade for him, AND giving up a promising young player.

Depends who they can get I guess.

Cooper I think still projects best as a 4. I dont necessarily buy he is going to be a good enough shooter to be a 3 next to AD / Lively. Just seems like a super congested lineup for no reason.

And Naji is not playable with that lineup either. Cant have a nonshooter at the 2. Klay sure, but the guy is a 35 year old next year and IMO is likely toast. I do like Christie.

But Mavs just need to go get some shooting
