He's gonna be a monster in year 3 and next year during the season you'll see him move from elite secondary option towards a ball dominant, pass first, high usage star. It's gonna be a huge second half and playoffs for him while Fred steps back a bit like he's been saying. It needs to happen so it will.

I think it’ll be more tied to his usage rather then his actually progression. I don’t see where more opportunities will come with Siakam/Fred/Gary/OG all wanting possessions. The number of injuries to those players last season may have been a blessing to allow Scottie more opportunities.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned but it seems like NN claimed that Scottie is 6'10 now :o

Not sure how to post the interview but here is the link

This is how I see it going as well. Barnes is gonna have some strong games to start the season, then taper off for awhile while still showing flashes from time to time, and then explode around January right before the all star break and carry that into the playoffs where he becomes the defacto number 2 option that probably performs as the number 1 option from time to time. By year 3, I see him taking the reins organically.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive

I know it's only 3 shots (out of who knows how many) in an open gym, but oh man...that shot is looking smoooooooth.

If Scottie comes into the season as a somewhat reliable three-point threat (33% or better on 4 or more attempts), it changes everything both as an organization and individually. And if he can knock down C&S threes more effectively, it's over lol.

Been following Scottie Barnes twitch and its been pretty cool to have some of my comments mentioned by him. That being said hes not really mentioning anything basketball related but still cool nonetheless. You can tell he's still a kid, will be amazing to watch him mature through the years.

We've got a great one folks!

The follow through could be better, but the overall shot looks smooth.

All of these off season work out vids of Scottie. Meanwhile, these are the only two off season vids about Cade I could find.

Here they talk about his "insane" physical transformation. He just looks like he put on weight, not necessarily muscle.

And his rap mixtape premiere, where he is seen riding around with his boys, with no seat belt on.

For you shooting technicians, Scottie's release looks a little low, no? His elbow on release is level with his shoulder. Someone like Durant or Kawhi will have their elbow level with their forehead on release.

Scottie's form still looks stiff as **** lol.

It's gonna probably look clunky in actual game speed time, this won't be fixed in one off season by any means. Hopefully he'll see the fruits of his labor pay off in 2-3 more seasons.

I was thinking the same thing, it kind of looked similar to Pascal's form a few years back, but yet an improvement from Scottie's college days, and slightly better than last year's offseason. This is what you want to see, year to year progress

form is fine. repetition leads to better consistency and results.

True, Reggie Miller's an ATG shooter with weird form because he put the reps in, but all things being equal, I'll take a higher releasing shot that's harder to alter than a lower releasing one.

Nurse said Scottie was 6'10 last December too, doesn't make it true
