I hope Kuminga is able to go elsewhere after this season. The longer time goes on, the more I realize Kerr is a fraud.

Kerr won a title with Jordan Poole. Keep his name out of your mouth

Kerr has 4 championships as a coach. He’s a very good coach. lol.

I would be surprised if Kuminga ever has a significant role on a winning team. He’s just such a flawed player.

Steph Curry has 4 championships

Kerr couldn’t beat a box and 1

Kuminga is a flawed player. Most players are. Who’s perfect? Kuminga has been shafted and jerked around for years by Kerr. It is the coach’s job to maximize talent. He has failed spectacularly with Kuminga.

4 titles v. getting the most out of a guy that can't shoot or pass or defend all that well.

Kerr has been coaching that team for more than 10 years now. Funny how they didn’t come close to winning before he got there. In fact they got eliminated in the first round with the same roster the year before they won a championship.

Kuminga hasn’t been shafted. He’s just not good.

Respectfully disagree. Chet and Jdub are at the very peak of their hype years. All that hype turns to jaded disappointment for 4th and 5th year players. Scotty is a good example. A year ago ppl were talking about him potentially being top 10 (which was crazy). Now many ppl are saying he isn't the worth the max rookie extension (also crazy).

This pattern is like clockwork.

You just wrote **** that is not based in logic. Chet is 22 and JDub is 23 years old. They are not even close to their peak. Jdub is better than Shai was at the same age btw, not that progression is linear.

Chet is the 2nd best defender in the league healthy and he has not even put on weight or improved his creation yet. Who tf is saying Chet or Jdub ain't worth the 25% max? Chet has a higher ceiling than Mobley/Barnes to me. The injury this year really hurt his development but as a rookie he had a defensive season as good as Mobley best and a better season than Barnes ever did, period. Chet ceiling is an all time defender that can punish mismatch and space the floor. These freak rim protectors that can hold up in switches are unicorns (defending the rim is the most impactful part of defense). You have to look at Chet value from the defensive end. He is not a number 1 option on offense.

OKC is down this series because they have made stupid clutch mistakes and shot the 3 ball poorly. They have shot the 3 ball 4% worse than Nuggets and made 1 less 3 pointer. This should not be the case looking at both rosters so maybe shooting variance flips soon.

Edit: seen this is more of a Scottie post, well I never envisioned Scottie as a top 10 player. He does not check any of the boxes when it comes to super elite defense, playmaking, or self creation. Chet and even Mobley does with defense.

Chet is 23 and Jdubs is 24. Jdubs is actually older than Scottie.

Chet put up nearly identical numbers to last year and has had issues staying healthy in the past. You’re wildly overrating Chet. You’re looking at shot blocking and ignoring many other aspects to good defensive play. Look at how easily Jokic backed down Chet. Same with AG. He’s a great defender, no doubt but not DPOY upside.

And no, Jdubs was not better than Shai at the same age. Jdubs relies heavily on SGA. The whole team does. The increased boxscore numbers were a result of more volume, his efficiency got a lot worse.

We know what kind of players these guys are. Both of them are fantastic players but neither have top 10 upside.

I certainly wouldn’t trade both for Giannis though. One of them along with a guy like Ihart and picks make it work. It could even involve less.

This is their age 22 and 23 regular season. Chet just turned 23 10 days ago, he will 23 for the duration of next regular season too.

You are wrong in almost everything you said. Jdub is better than Shai was at 23 years old. Jdub is a top 5 wing defender in the league with plus impact offense (a better playmaker than Shai was at 23). He is a top 25 player in the league at worst. This is also funny because I remember you argued with me and several other people here that Shai was not that good and OKC might be in a dead end, and the next season he finished top 2 in MVP. I never said Jdub has top 10 potential in the league.

Chet absolutely does have top 10 talent in the league, Gobert was a top 15 player and borderline top 10 player in the league in 2020-21. Chet can be better than that because he provides more value on offense than Gobert. If Gobert could attack mismatches he would have been top 10 player. Chet rim protection numbers are nuts (literally right there with Wemby) and he is probably the highest IQ defender drafted this decade.

Comp of 3 of the best defensive bigs drafted this decade.

Are you trying to somehow insinuate that the box and 1 of that raptors team was the only reason they won the championship? The raptors team was superior to that warriors team in every way.

Caruso is a winning player

Jokic currently being 1/8 and the Nuggets are only down 10 is wild.

If OKC could make open shots this would be a 20 point game

This is my only issue with OKC. They should have traded 2 role players for a better one (that can play more mins). They have the assets to. Playing 10 guys in a series and sometimes the shooter gets 4 shots, that is just not enough to get into a rhythm sometimes.

OKC is down this series mostly due to their 3 point shooting. Denver is shooting better them from 3 on the series which makes no sense.

OKC aren’t ready. I said they would regret not making a move at the trade deadline, you don’t play around and bank on development when you have a real chance to win a chip.

Hopefully scotty is watching jokic here and realizes that no-look passes have a purpose beyond looking fancy. Jokic uses them together generate open looks. Not just to be flashy.

if OKC wants to win this game, Dort can’t play another minute.

Return to Toronto Raptors
